Y'all are very DISRESPECTFUL for going thru his personal things. Why would y'all open his refrigerator "WITH CONTAMINATED GLOVES ON" and display to us what's in his fridge and cabinets? You guys need to be mindful of their families bcuz your videos go viral and they could be seeing this. Death is very sensitive and when you're love one dies you wanna know that they we're at least treated with respect REGARDLESS of how they died. And I don't buy this drug overdose y'all keep specifying, bcuz WHY IS THERE SOOOO MUCH BLOOD? But besides that, I just think y'all should be a little more RESPECTFUL and empathetic when you're cleaning up DEATH.

Fentanyl cannot be absorbed through the skin. Please do your research before broadcasting dangerous misinformation that could cost someone that is overdosing their life.

@@godisrealgodislove7767 there is blood because he decomposed and when that happens the skin breaks down and contents of the body ooze out. It looks like a murder but everyone decompose like that unless they are cremated or embalmed right away.

Agreed. I don’t even know how my grandfathers death was handled, he took his life using a shotgun and I know after authorities left the scene my dad and my cousin started clean up - but everything had to get thrown out.
My mom doesn’t know, but my grandmother has one of my grandfathers pillow cases still (no biomaterial got on it), and my grandmother has it hidden by her bed.
I cleaned her room this summer and stumbled upon it, and it smelled like him and I knew exactly why she kept it. I folded it nicely and put it back hidden. She said some nights it feels like he’s sitting at the bottom of her bed 😭

I've smelt it once and not in a way that involves being in a work environment that exposes you to it.
My grandfather passed away last year. I live in South Africa and there were two problems with this scenario. Firstly, he lived in a small mining town very far from any hospital. He passed in a hospital 2 hours away from our hometown and ultimately where he'd be laid to rest. Secondly, we were in a severe stage of power cuts nationwide. At that stage we experienced 6 hours of outages in intervals per day.
On the day of his funeral, I wanted to see him one last time. The funeral director made sure we were in a private area as she proceeded to screw open the coffin. With the coffin opening, a smell came out. I have never smelt anything like it and it made me feel sick. It is the kind of smell that sticks with you. Unfortunately, now when I think of my Oupa, the first thing that comes to mind is his unrecognisable pale face and that smell.
I will never request to say goodbye again.

Same, I've had to throw out uniforms and shoes that I just couldn't get the smell out of. I'd put Vicks up my nose for days so that's all I'd smell. Going home after those incidents was rough, taking my clothes off in the garage and walking through the house in my bra and underwear told my family how my day had gone. Straight to the shower, and no matter how much scrubbing and hot water I used, I still smelled it, hence the Vicks. I'd ask my BF if he could smell anything on me after I got cleaned up and he never did, but I sure did! Once in a while I could save my uniform but mostly not.

Then I started having surgery after surgery after surgery in my late teens and early 20's. I remember getting pain pills prescribed to me like candy and we aren't talking just hydrocodone 5s lol! I remember thinking, I will stick to exactly what the bottle says and I'll be just fine! Yep, that started my miserable downfall that I never thought I could pick myself up from... But I did nearly 6 years ago with the help of methadone maintenance! Addiction can happen to anybody and much quicker than I ever would have imagined!

Over the years, I'd fight like hell to get past the withdrawal stage and then a month or two later right back to surgery and right back on pain meds. It was a never ending hell cycle. I'd work to buy pain meds to be able to work to buy more pain meds... that is not living! Methadone is the only thing that has ever touched my pain for more than maybe an hour and I was on some very strong stuff that could have killed many horses per day lol! This started after a twenty yr opiate pill addiction, to hear now how many people are dying today from it is mind blowing to me and makes me thankful I'm still here. I've been clean now for over 17yrs If anyone reading this is going through it trust me you can stop. It's hard might be the hardest thing you'll ever do but it's possible. Hang in there!!

You are not an "addict," you are a whole person with a chemical dependency. And there is a 99.99% chance that you do not acknowledge all the small, difficult steps it takes (took) to be free. Stop. Reflect. Acknowledge. Celebrate. You. The world is more fuller and richer with you in it!

Man, looking around this apartment, I can tell this person was 20s or early 30s, very close to my age. Looking at the decor and how new the apartment is and the fact that the apartment was somewhat clean tells me this person cared about themselves and really made a horrific mistake. I'm thinking maybe the guy(the bachelor) and his friend or even girlfriend were thinking they were buying cocaine and now they're a decomposed bloody mess all over the floor, all semblance of who they were just a week before they died basically gone, rotting. Absolutely horrific. I can't help but look at the furniture that was clearly purchased at Ikea and Target and humanize this person, I imagine them shopping and decorating this apartment, sitting and watching that TV there on their couch, opening a Truly and just living like the rest of us. I find this so horrifying. I just want all of this to stop. No more overdoses, no more people decomposing for days or weeks before anyone knows they're dead, no more suicides. It's so tragic. Life is unforgiving.
I respect the people that do this so much. Thank you so much for helping people through this. It's astounding that you all can stand it and do it compassionately to boot. Watching these videos makes me think we all need to be a little nicer to one another.

what we need to do is legalize all drugs so when ppl want to buy coke or XTC or whatever you know its the real thing... do you ever wonder if that beer or whiskey you buy at the bar or liquor store is real and not made by someone in their bathtub? no because its a regulated drug that has tons of saftey measures to prevent you from going blind off on3 shot... but hey im just advocating for 5y/os to have access to fentanyl right?!

I was a poly drug abuser. I went into rehab in 1994 because my gf was pregnant. Every child deserves sober, loving parents. So I was motivated to get clean. In rehab, I was the minority. The vast majority of the men and women there were only there because they got in trouble with the law and were trying to get a reduced sentence. My roommate had just gotten his umpteenth D.U.I. He, of course, survived the crash unscathed. The occupants of the car he hit were not so lucky. A family of four, mom, dad, and two boys not yet ten years old. The dad survived, but was paralyzed from the neck down. Mom and one of the boys died instantly. The surviving boy was, to put it bluntly, mangled. He was in the hospital for almost a year. I kept a lookout for the results of my roommate’s trial. He ended up taking a plea deal that got him fifty odd years in prison. Since he was in his sixties, he’ll never get out.

Fentanyl patches are used for pain management of terminally ill patients. It’s been around for a long time, long before people started using it illicitly. Fentanyl is not evil, it’s the people who use it to create profits and/or misuse it that gives it a bad rap. Also anyone with a legit prescription of fentanyl patches under a doctor’s supervision would also have been prescribed Narcan.

What scares me the most is how "normal" this condo looks. One would associate an OD to a very disturbed and helpless person. Such as trashed filled rooms and no intention to better ones life.

Obviously you are clearly a typical finger pointing judgmental person pointing at all the so called street people and those you assume live in dirty places talking about them as they are nothing assuming THOSE ppl must be drug addicts since it only is used by THOSE kind of ppl lol WOW a messy home dam sure don't mean their drug addicts and that's a very VERY ignorant remark to make !!Your mentality is infuriating and absolutely ZERO to be proud of 😠

There are some addicts who can use and it doesn't affect their daily life that much but usually it will eventually come crashing down when it becomes more important than everything else :(

most properties owners reach out to homeowners insurance. Legitimate companies will come in first to do a walk-through and photograph all items all work that needs to be done, work orders typed out for technicians going out. This would have went in a Disposable bowl ( chain)with hospital grade disinfectant Soaked while cleaning the floor at the end of the job it is inventoried photoed and documented at the company all disinfected items of sentimental value are placed in a personal box that is given to the family or next of kin and explain what was done to it and what’s in there. I did crime scene cleanup for a very reputable company that works for AAA and other insurance based companies I was also an office coordinator but I preferred to be out in the field doing the work you pretty much get to see what it looks like before you actually get there because the project manager goes out to document everything and pretty much walks you through pictures on the computer as to what needs to be done so you get a work order and you pretty much know what you need to do when you get there the only time we had to stop a job is when I had one particular job where a person was murdered and the bullet went through their head and it was left behind in the subfloor when I was pulling up the carpet. Forensic police technicians have to come out again and it stalls the work for us.

Yeah let's hand it back over to the family with a deadly drug on it that killed their family member. The fact they even kept it and cleaned it rather than just throwing it out is the respect you so desperately want. They're doing a job that people like you probably wouldn't yourselves. They meticulously to over everything to keep it safe not pretty.
