      Why philips built a button one(HD9200), if it hard to pull? While we already in an android n apple youth.
      Let me guess, Philips will built 1 more that got an interface with the color like interface of android handphone(got colored touchscreen n animation), n that starfish add 1 more legs(become 5), capacity still the same, then it will be name as Philips Premium Pro. Lol 😂
      Philip said, premium is not enough, we wants your money!
      Came back here 3 years later.

    *I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.*

      Is it a wet batter? Or just a coating? Because wet batter will drip off the fish. Try to use a dry batter.

    This is my favourite air fryer review so far! I was considering the Philips Essential XL HD9280/91 but leaning more towards the Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer with ClearCook because it's Quiet Mark-certified. I couldn't quite commit to the Instant, though, because I've seen user complaints about the glass heating up and also filling with water when you wash the basket.But now having heard how quiet the Philips is, I'm sold! I think I also prefer the detachable basket feature. And, I have to add the Premium models to my wish list. Thank you!

      If you're looking for a product to "cook" for you, the tefal actifry 2 in 1 gives you more bang for the buck, imo. It's a different machine though, so make sure you know, what you want.

  • @LeeIongi

    According to my experiences with mechanical timer, that analog timer with bell is different with those on washing machine, it doesn't have a position reset mechanism because 0 is tight to bell action, therefore the analog timer knob on the particular unit is not designed to be rotated counter clockwise, it may put excessive force on the pendulum gear that designed to release the spring force slowly, in order to release the spring tension faster than usual, in worst case some of the gear teeth will break if it's made of nylon (which I am not very sure what material Philips use, if the gear made of alloy it should be fine). To extend the usable life of the timer, just shut down the power or simply remove the frying pan and wait timer get back to zero by itself.

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, that is some useful information I did not know about. Thank you for sharing@

    • @LeeIongi
      @LeeIongi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AirfryDaily I could be wrong, but I have seen some people mentioned it feel pretty hard to reset timer to zero somewhere else. May be it does have reset mechanism, but not function properly. The reasons I like mechanical knob is easy to use and it remember my last setting on temperature, not need to set it every time after switch on. In those old day, things only come with analog knob and it last very long. But things made nowadays have short life, chances are the frying pan worn out before the fryer itself, so digital or analog doesn't really matter as long as it users happy with it.

    I just came across this video as just bought a Phillips HD9650/96. Thanks for an in-depth explanation, clear and easy comparison. If I had watched it 1st, I probably would have chosen XL because of the one piece basket. I however find the mesh not so bad cleaning after soaking in hot soapy water, then using brush, nylon;;) BUT thinking the non mesh would put a better semi-char on meat with pre-heating. Phillips states preheating isn't necessary, but I will anyways for that better char.

    This was very useful. Can I assume that the power rating that you are giving is for the European (220-230 volt) version? Houses in North America (115 volt) are normally limited to 15 ampere per circuit, which is a maximum 1725 Watt. The Canadian web site for Philips lists the wattage of the XXL at 1725 W, not the 2000+ W that you mention in the video.

    Hello thank you for the extensive video. If you don't mind I just would like to know I'm in the process of wanting an air fryer would the phillips xl hd9280 be a good choice I'd like to make chicken and steak and chicken wings for Meal preping

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, it is a nice air fryer. You can surely use it for chicken. You might also consider the Ninja Dual Zone air fryer (see my channel). I really like that one as well, especially for meal prepping.

    if you have two different items such as roasting vegetables and you want to roast chicken breasts at the same time, together in the premium model (gold) how would you set it so they both cook together evenly? thank you.

    Do you know the white xxl premium model? In my country its bit more expensive than that black/gold premium model. Why is that? Is it the newest model?

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is the newest. It comes with the largest bakong tray included. The rest it is the same as the black Smart Sensing model.

    @AirfryDaily Thanks for the insightful review. I wanna buy xl version, but there are so many different model numbers (HD92xx/yy) that i am confused with. For example, HD9270/70, HD9270/90, HD9260/70 and so on and so on. Really can't find out what's the difference between them. Can you please explain what the xx and yy in above example mean? Thanks in advance.

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Xx = model
      Yy = color or an additional accessory

    The premium ones lacks more presets of the baking menu compared to the essentials type air fryer which it has more than presets menu for air frying.
