I know it's a trifle, but only Canon APS-C sensors are 1.6x crop. Other companies like Fujifilm, Sony and Nikon use 1.5x crop sensors.

Looks like this is a multihackpurpose lens! I am just playing with the front element reversed. Which focus distance do you got at infinity?
Or you just use an M42 distance ring between lens and adapter - and don‘t mess with the lens.
no, with distance rings you get less light and shallow DoF.
I am a little confused. I did not clearly see which inner glass piece that you switched. It just looks like you took everything apart and then cleaned it, and then re-assembled. I understand that you must have reverses one of the glass pieces, but it was not clear to me when you did that. If this works, I assume it does not change any other magic of this lens? Can this also be done with the MIR 1b? I think with the MIR, the trick is to remove a screw at the 0.7 mark so that the focus ring goes beyond that screw.
You should reverse the lens which is the closest one to sensor/film, its a seperate lens element, I don't touch the inner ones.
