Cannot describe the sheer comedic timing of the tech stuff discussion around 1:57, impulse saying "Sometimes I swipe wrong and mute-" and my headphones instantly dying. Admittedly something of a background stream for me - there's not quite enough going on in this game for my full attention, but that sure made me laugh.
pro tip! if you guys craft a Controller you can use it to spin the drill without using fuel. In the Controller's UI set it to 360 degree rotation and Loop. hook a button to the controller and the drill to the button. once you active the button the drill will spin!

As someone with almost 3000 hours in this game since Survival came out (about 1800-1900 of those being in survival or modded survival via custom game modes), the amount of facepalming I did while watching your content was actually quite refreshing. You had me shouting at my screen more often than I'd like to admit.
For example: You kept taking each resource rod to the collector, when you could have saved up to 24 trips and taken the collector to the pile of rods, where the collector would've picked 'em all up in one shot.
I haven't played nearly as much but... CONNNECT THE DAMB ENGINE TO THE SEAT!!!!!!!

I once taught a friend of mine, who I suggested the game to, by bringing him in in creative, on top of one of the three mesas (those brown mountains with the flat section on top), and getting him to build his own starter car. I had my lift out, and had it ready to catch his car before letting him chase it off the cliff... funniest thing ever!!!

My personal method for farm fortification is metal walls with saws on top. I turn them on when the raid comes and then stand in the farm. They run themselves into the saws until they die.

I remember the day you announced the same thing Impulse congratulations on going so far in something we both enjoy
1:39:19 The double timer on the farm is technically a glitch with the game, and as a result the farm needs to be moved, otherwise later raids get exponentially difficult. The game is registering it as two separate farms instead of one like it normally does. This is because it is between two different map regions, not because the farm is too big. If done right, you could have an entire field for a farm and only have one timer. If you look at the middle of where the timers are seperated, that's where the map regions split, so just make sure the farm is pushed far enough beyond the split. While it is bad early on, you could actually later on find the corner between 4 regions, and get four times the raid count for raid farms for the bot drops.
I would love to see GIGS or a different crew try Deep Rock Galactic! Its been one of my favourite games for a while now, definetly one of if not the best co-op game out there. And even more fun with friends! Though it might not be a very PG game
When they're talking about what they haven't watched made me think about how I've never seen the office or friends. My dad has never let me watch it, he'll literally turn the tv off to stop me. He doesn't do it with anything else, we've always had a great relationship, just those two shows really bother him for some reason.

Take the wooden crates out of storage. They are decorative items, so place them on the ground and use them for decoration. I know Tango stored them there, but he did not know what he had, and does not yet understand the purpose of them.
When you save the guys the shop keeper loves on them. They are his bear brethren

As the child of two 70's kids, I can say that I know about half of the references you make. btw I'm only 23 lol.
The car NEEDS to be front wheel drive due to game physics. you can use either the large or small tires on front. Mount the engine in front where it is easier to access, and make it wide enough for the passenger seat to fit with a block between it and the driver seat. optionally mount a second row of seats to take the whole team, then mount the storage unit behind the seats in front of or over the rear axle, not behind the axle. Passenger seats do not need upgrades at this point. They do their job just fine.
Optionally include 4 wheel steering and optionally include 4 wheel drive (both of these will take upgraded driver seat and engine respectively.)
Tango only installed an engine lvl 1 and he should have gone after the engine lvl 2 even though it takes more materials. "buy once, cry once" and all that.
As others have advised, a controller will help with drill management, though at this point, the secondary engine is also able to do the job adequately.
As the vehicle is upgraded, you can use the lower level parts to build a second vehicle which can be used for scouting/salvage missions. Even the trash parts from the first build can be used. It does not need to be a great vehicle, just enough to carry 2 people and some storage. It only needs enough engine to drive with that storage and 2 passengers, so the scrap engine or maybe the engine lvl 1 should be enough once the harvester truck is upgraded to the lvl 2 engine. It should also be front wheel drive for stability.
On an unrelated note, move the farm slightly uphill when you have materials to rebuild the walls. Make a fence of metal or concrete pillars spaced close enough to block the robots far enough away to keep the whip bot from hitting any crops. The walls do not need to be solid.
