The new Nightwish didn't make my top list either but i do think it is better than the last 2 albums they released. Humanoid and the new Priest made my list and Child Within The Man was one of my Honourable mentions. I saw Accept live at Wacken Open Air this year and they sounded great.Have a super festive season mate😃🤘

@ I went in 2023, 2024 and am going back in 2025 because I have the best time of my life. Costs a pretty penny going 3 times but the great music and memories make it worth it.
That new album by The End, is one of the 2024 releases I have yet to grab, but doubt it would have made my top ten either. I have their previous ones. A handful of bands I'm unfamiliar with, but there you go, Stryper and Priest near the top. Love it.

Está claro que el Heavy Metal sigue gozando de buena salud con una infinidad de bandas nuevas o relativamente nuevas lanzando buenísimos trabajos y con los viejos dinosaurios aún dando guerra. En mi top incluyo Blitzkrieg - Blitzkrieg, White Tower - Night Hunters y Pounder - Thunderforged. Salud y felices fiestas !!!

yes, not many people talked about the new KRYPTOS, but its again a strong album. Same happend with me with the new ACCEPT but now i do like it a lot. Cool you liked the new IRON CURTAIN, they are still going strong. They will release a mini lp in the near future. Happy new year.

My second place, another veterans - Accept✌ Edit: If you'd like to listen to some speed/thrash metal, I recommend PANDEMIC - Phantoms, just released album by Dying Victims Productions. Gracias por tu lista, tienes muy buen gusto en mi opinión (por no decir que creo que entiendes mucho de música, creo que yo un poco entiendo también, ya que soy músico profesional y coleccionista desde hace 35 años, al igual que tu tampoco escucho orcos gritando..., un cantante debe saber cantar, ni me gustan las producciones totalmente digitales de hoy día), es interesante el último disco de Dickinson la verdad, lo he escuchado tras ver tu recomendación,...me gustaría compartir contigo mis discos top de 2024, de momento los únicos que me han perturbado lo suficiente para comprar el vinilo este año han sido estos: Judas Priest "invincible shield", Iron Courtain "savage Down", Lord Goblin "Lord Goblin", Heavy Temple "garden of heathens", y pendiente de comprar Victory "circle of life", y cuando saquen el album parecen muy buenos los USA thrashers " Void" (con su single "return of the phantom" y su anterior disco "horrors of reality"), mi gran descubrimiento este año han sido Green Lung, aunque su último gran album "this heathen land" es del año anterior, un afectuoso saludo.

@@holspa Muchas gracias por tu respuesta,...ah...pensaba que el death y black no te gustaban..jaja, bueno...Lord Goblin son un estilo black pero con un cantante impresionante,...a mi me gusta que canten bien(y también que toquen bien claro, luego el estilo me da igual, pero es que no hay buenos cantantes generalmente), Judas Priest, Maiden, Scorpions, Deep Purple, Dio,... son lo que son porque tenían excelentes cantantes, no se, creo que nos hemos vuelto un poco complacientes con la escena metal, algunos ni cantan, hablan con distorsión directamente, por ejemplo el último disco de Blood Incantation dicen que es muy bueno, y musicalmente la verdad que si que es muy interesante, pero nunca lo compraría por la voz...(he cometido el error de comprar algún cd de In Flames, Cradle of Filth, ...o grupos así, y lo escucho una vez y ahí queda sin escuchar nunca más, todas las canciones casi iguales, buff,...algo así como escuchar un disco de White Zombie cuando salieron de aquella, una canción muy bien, ahora...a ver quien es el guapo que escucha el disco entero, ahora ya me tengo por norma si compro un vinilo tiene que ser algo que me guste mucho, como para escucharlo muchas veces) , sobre Blood Incantation, a ver, yo no soy cantante y podría haberlo grabado eso mismo en una tarde, con los efectos adecuados, ...Victory me impresionó mucho su anterior disco, cuando ya no esperaba nada de ese grupo, cuando yo era joven era un grupo de cassette de gasolineras de lo más flojo y van ahora 40 años después y se sacan ese discazo!, si lo hubieran sacado de aquella..., y el último de Victory también está bien, te recomiendo mucho Lord Goblin, no está en la lista top de nadie este año, y creo que es porque se desconoce el grupo, me parece un poco injusto para ellos la verdad, pero bueno, si persisten al final el tiempo pone a cada grupo en el lugar que merece, un abrazo igualmente y feliz año 🙂 (Iron Courtain, me olvidaba..., gran disco, me gustó mucho ver que lo tenías en tu top, creo que su mayor virtud es que te llega, su sonido grabado con amplificadores reales de válvulas a la antigua usanza, sus composiciones son muy buenas, thrash pero con algunas influencias leves de Maiden, esas intros que me recuerdan al "go and live stay and die" de Vendetta o las intros de Metallica de sus buenos tiempos, aunque su cantante no es lo más fuerte, y tiene una voz que suena tipo Lemmy, cumple y tiene los suficiente para hacer que las canciones te transmitan, temas como Klasnikov 47 o Stuka son de mis favoritas 🙂)
I think I haven´t even bought 10 new albums this year. Apart from Dickinson and Priest I really enjoyed the Atrophy comeback and the new Flotsam & Jetsam.
Jürgen, i really need that ATROPHY album. Darcy also liked it a lot, and its on my want list but just to expensive at the moment imo. Like 19 euros. I dont mind paying 12 or 15 but 19 for a new cd is just to much, for people like us that buy a lot lot. Anyway, will check out the new FLOTSAM&JETSAM but not a super fan of that band, just a fan of some of there albums. Have a great holiday week.
I'm surprised you ranked Stryper so high! Their last album had 2-4 songs that were good or Ok but When We Were Kings was a much better album in my opinion. Stryper haven't really released a bad album. Reborn is my least favorite and has some great songs but I find the production holds it back. If Michael Sweet were to rerelease it with the production style he is using on recent albums it would be a better sounding album. He released it as a solo album in 2021 with a few more solos and it was a bit better. I find WWWK is more melodic and not as heavy as their previous ones. I bought the Bon Jovi album for my wife this summer. I find after Keep the Faith they are not as good but I may give it another spin. Living Proof is a decent song and his vocals sound more like he did in the 80s and 90s. I may include this in my ranking for 2024 which I have Stryper, Whitecross and Sunbomb 2024 releases. I will be getting Impellitteri, Saint and Harpazo (A concept progressive album on the book of Revelation). In total there will be around 8 albums I will be ranking. I am working on a ranking of 2023 albums which I have 7.
yes, i really like the new album. To be honest i even liked more Even the Devil Believes from 2020 and that album made it to number 1 of my top 2020 albums. You can see the video on my channel. But i like the new one too. Not a big fan of GOD DAMN EVIL (2018) but FALLEN (2015) was super, loved it. Yes, i agree, REBORN is my least favorite too. Cool you bought the last BON JOVI for your wife. My wife is not a fan of him lol, but i am very much. The WHITECROSS is on my want list but just didnt buy it yet. Will be nice to see your ranking. @@holspa Muchas gracias por tu respuesta,...ah...pensaba que el death y black no te gustaban..jaja, bueno...Lord Goblin son un estilo black pero con un cantante impresionante,...a mi me gusta que canten bien(y también que toquen bien claro, luego el estilo me da igual, pero es que no hay buenos cantantes generalmente), Judas Priest, Maiden, Scorpions, Deep Purple, Dio,... son lo que son porque tenían excelentes cantantes, no se, creo que nos hemos vuelto un poco complacientes con la escena metal, algunos ni cantan, hablan con distorsión directamente, por ejemplo el último disco de Blood Incantation dicen que es muy bueno, y musicalmente la verdad que si que es muy interesante, pero nunca lo compraría por la voz...(he cometido el error de comprar algún cd de In Flames, Cradle of Filth, ...o grupos así, y lo escucho una vez y ahí queda sin escuchar nunca más, todas las canciones casi iguales, buff,...algo así como escuchar un disco de White Zombie cuando salieron de aquella, una canción muy bien, ahora...a ver quien es el guapo que escucha el disco entero, ahora ya me tengo por norma si compro un vinilo tiene que ser algo que me guste mucho, como para escucharlo muchas veces) , sobre Blood Incantation, a ver, yo no soy cantante y podría haberlo grabado eso mismo en una tarde, con los efectos adecuados, ...Victory me impresionó mucho su anterior disco, cuando ya no esperaba nada de ese grupo, cuando yo era joven era un grupo de cassette de gasolineras de lo más flojo y van ahora 40 años después y se sacan ese discazo!, si lo hubieran sacado de aquella..., y el último de Victory también está bien, te recomiendo mucho Lord Goblin, no está en la lista top de nadie este año, y creo que es porque se desconoce el grupo, me parece un poco injusto para ellos la verdad, pero bueno, si persisten al final el tiempo pone a cada grupo en el lugar que merece, un abrazo igualmente y feliz año 🙂 (Iron Courtain, me olvidaba..., gran disco, me gustó mucho ver que lo tenías en tu top, creo que su mayor virtud es que te llega, su sonido grabado con amplificadores reales de válvulas a la antigua usanza, sus composiciones son muy buenas, thrash pero con algunas influencias leves de Maiden, esas intros que me recuerdan al "go and live stay and die" de Vendetta o las intros de Metallica de sus buenos tiempos, aunque su cantante no es lo más fuerte, y tiene una voz que suena tipo Lemmy, cumple y tiene los suficiente para hacer que las canciones te transmitan, temas como Klasnikov 47 o Stuka son de mis favoritas 🙂)
I think I haven´t even bought 10 new albums this year. Apart from Dickinson and Priest I really enjoyed the Atrophy comeback and the new Flotsam & Jetsam.
Jürgen, i really need that ATROPHY album. Darcy also liked it a lot, and its on my want list but just to expensive at the moment imo. Like 19 euros. I dont mind paying 12 or 15 but 19 for a new cd is just to much, for people like us that buy a lot lot. Anyway, will check out the new FLOTSAM&JETSAM but not a super fan of that band, just a fan of some of there albums. Have a great holiday week.
I'm surprised you ranked Stryper so high! Their last album had 2-4 songs that were good or Ok but When We Were Kings was a much better album in my opinion. Stryper haven't really released a bad album. Reborn is my least favorite and has some great songs but I find the production holds it back. If Michael Sweet were to rerelease it with the production style he is using on recent albums it would be a better sounding album. He released it as a solo album in 2021 with a few more solos and it was a bit better. I find WWWK is more melodic and not as heavy as their previous ones. I bought the Bon Jovi album for my wife this summer. I find after Keep the Faith they are not as good but I may give it another spin. Living Proof is a decent song and his vocals sound more like he did in the 80s and 90s. I may include this in my ranking for 2024 which I have Stryper, Whitecross and Sunbomb 2024 releases. I will be getting Impellitteri, Saint and Harpazo (A concept progressive album on the book of Revelation). In total there will be around 8 albums I will be ranking. I am working on a ranking of 2023 albums which I have 7.

Even the Devil Believes from 2020 and that album made it to number 1 of my top 2020 albums. You can see the video on my channel. But i like the new one too. Not a big fan of GOD DAMN EVIL (2018) but FALLEN (2015) was super, loved it. Yes, i agree, REBORN is my least favorite too. Cool you bought the last BON JOVI for your wife. My wife is not a fan of him lol, but i am very much. The WHITECROSS is on my want list but just didnt buy it yet. Will be nice to see your ranking. About SAINT, i put one of there albums on my TOP 2004 video i just uploaded a few weeks ago. Also an other white metal band is on it. Thanks for watching and for your long comment. Merry Christmas.
