For those with a TCL smart tv: This is my workaround the screen burn concern. At least it seems like it's a sensible workaround. On my TCL remote, that came with TV, theres a button with an asterisk on it. I pressed that and a menu slides in from left. There's a choice there labeled "Picture Off." I chose that and my screen went off. Just a black screen. To go back to the screen back on, I pressed the asterisk button again. Picture back. Hopefully this works for you.
