As for the canopy, I reached out to McFarlane customer service and directly asked if the canopy was a production error or is colored as intended. Their response (no big surprise) was "There are no production errors with this product in terms of color and functionality. " It will be interesting to see if there is actually a color variation in the Flash movie and this is actually movie accurate. I have heard rumors that there will be a Gold Label 89 Batmobile with Batman coming. Cool news, but kind of a gut punch for those of us that jumped on this one to then find out that another - possibly more correct - version is coming later at likely $80+. Also heard about a rumored 6 pack of movie batman figures that will include 89 Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale, Pattinson, and 2023 Keaton.
It was same in the demo, so I am not surprised that it turned out the same in actual. The canopy is also incorrect but I guess that's ok, compared to the color mismatch issue.
I really hope another Batmobile is coming (running change or 89 version) with a properly colored cockpit, what an eyesore for an otherwise awesome piece.
Definitely one of my favorite Batmobile designs. My absolute favorite Batmobile is the one used by Batman and Azrael that originally debuted in Detective Comics issue 601.
I know it’s not that big of a deal but still you spent 80 bucks on it there shouldn’t be any mistakes period, I swear everyone of mcfarlane multiverse figures have some kind of issues, the figures fall apart so easily it’s like he knows this and just doesn’t care about the customer service just as long as he gets his money and that sucks
I hope this doesn't turn into a year two Batman situation where everybody's pre-orders get cancelled multiple times, so far my Amazon order is just delayed!
Great review and too bad Jay Garrick couldn't out run the Batmobile lol There is a spinmaster version coming out too for the 4 inch scale and the RC version. I passed on the McFarlane Batmobile for now - missed out on the preorders but I may buy the gold label when/if it comes out. The grey canopy is a bit of a turn off and the scale seems slightly small but minor complaints next to the beauty of the 1989 Batmobile.
Funny thing is, IF it was that much wider it would be massively out of scale with a 7 inch figure, IRL you need to snug your shoulders in to fit in the very tight cabin which action figures can't do

I finally lucked out with GameStop on April 19 mid-morning (that was the day they advertised availability) and ordered two with free shipping. I checked back after getting the confirmation email and they were no longer available.
everything is ok, except for the hideous giant gray colored canopy is a huge let down. Might have to run a custom or something. The box art work is misleading, look nothing like the actual product.
That canopy is crazy terrible, unless there is some story behind this and it's something in the film its a massive dropped ball BUT Honestly this batmobile has no much wrong and inaccurate that it looks to me like a toddlers toy. as for the Mezco rfigure looking too small? how so this is a huge car and meant to be a two seater, funny enough the problem with making this a 2 seater is that IRL the car is very tight to sit in and action figures having no ability to snug in the shoulders makes it very difficult, the car wouldn't actually be that much bigger at all to suit the scale of the 7inch figure if they had the ability to fit. but to release a car NOT in scale with a figure is lame

Im thinking the canopy is that color for a reason......in the movie the batmobile has been unused and sitting a long long time the discoloration maybe from that, or maybe dirt/rust. Anyways thats my opinion.

To be honest, I had such high hopes for this but once I unboxed it, I immediately felt sorry I paid for it. The plastic is very much on the level of the Spinmaster toys if not worse in some areas. The grey canopy looks so bad with the rest of the car. I canceled the Mcfarlane Batwing. If this is any indication of how that one is going to be, count me out.
That grey canopy is absolutely unforgivable given how otherwise perfect this vehicle turned out. Just...wow,way to absolutely not stick the landing 😊

wish it was 2 or 3 inch wider for a two seater- the Mezco keaton (for me) fits better than the intended figure - cool comparison with other vehicles
