- Nostradamus, a 16th-century seer, continues to fascinate the world with his predictions. The French astrologer published his book Les Propheties nearly 500 years ago. According to many reports, more than 70 per cent of his prophecies have come true so far. He made some predictions for 2024 as well, here are some.

I studied Nostradamus for a number of years. In the end I realized it was as accurate as reading a newspaper Astrology forecast. It is broad enough to include many things and after the fact you could manipulate it to fit the past.

So tired of hearing about nostradamus's predictions. I've been listening to that for 40 years and none of them have ever come true.
I believe that Nostradamus knew that humans have the tendency to repeat history every hundred years due to a lack of respect for past events. The current generation is also showing little interest in learning from history. I believe that wars are caused by the lack of knowledge of past mistakes in history. Current history lessons often feature a significant amount of washdown and speculation. While our technology has significantly improved to enhance our lives, human behavior remains largely unchanged. The ongoing riots in universities are attributed to a washdown of historical events.

Seers never do, give a real date and that is built in to avoid the fear of the masses. Edgar Cayse did not give us a date for that huge geological change.....that will destroy the coast lines , saving only the few who went up in elevated locations.

When I read a book about his predictions over 10 years ago it said that Paris would be wiped out by a nuclear attack , at that time it seemed hard to believe but with macron talking about French troops in the Ukrainian ,now I’m not so sure.
New chapers seem to be added to Nostradamus's book evey year, even though the fellow died hundreds of years ago.
It was not what he predicted but the interpretation that is more important.

nostradamus was also a physician but was not good in his fields. he predicted French royal family's future as a astrologer but all went utter wrong. some well-known predictions at that time were king henry the 2nd and his son's long life where king henry died at age 40 and son at 24. it's all-vague predictions that people interpret it as they like or want.

True Prophecy isn't dated . When Isaiah gave a prophecy about the birth of Jesus Christ did he give a date. When Jesus talking about his second coming did he give a date but doesn't it mean that it won't come to pass.

Nostradamus wrote cookbooks. His "predictions" are deliberately so vague as to be applicable to anything. Only people who have not actually taken the trouble to read Nostradamus' "predictions" believe he actually wrote any.
Academics are just projecting their crap onto Nostradamusbecause that is exactly what they do all the time. and they violently and even fatally shut down opposition like shipping people to psyche wards for just having nonmainstream harmless beliefs. They will never be fulfilled or have already been fulfilled, depending on the author who "interprets" the writings of Nostradamus. Honestly, having read them myself, the predictions are so imprecise that they can practically be applied to any event in history.

Those are very generic statements that are even showing a limited relation to his context.
When he added some specific references (dates) those events never happened; even if they would have happened it could have been by chance.

IT was King Edward Vlll & Wallis Simpson that is being referred to NOT Charles & Camilla. Don't you remember guys, in December 1936. King Edward Abdicated the English throne so he could marry divorcee Wallis Simpson, in June 1937.
At the start this report stated that he had his work published ( wrong!!, ) , then you go on about it being written in cryptic code, well it was written in code , yet the writings also had a decipher page for his son . Prince Charles will not abdicate. He will pass the throne on to his son when he dies or becomes too ill to do the job.
Nostradamus himself warned against attempting to guess the future from any interpretation of his Quatrains. In the preface to his son César, he explains: " All had to be written under a cloudy figure, above all things prophetic." In other words, do not bother trying to interpret them. He also says "sed quando sub movenda erit ignorantia, le cas sera plus esclaircy" which translates approximately as "...but when ignorance is moved, things will become clear".

Gift or curse, I love Nostradamus!!! Excellent movie made about him from the 90's. He suffered immensely in his lifetime losing his love & family and the burden of visions. But then again seers & prophets usually did suffer greatly by way of society ridicule or being put to death. It remains to be seen if it was God showing him glimpses or Satan responding to his leanings in the occult & astrology. One thing is certain though, he is easily one of the top selling authors to walk the earth and that's for a reason. His Hitler & third Reich visions were haunting, those were not "guesses" at future technology & Hister is too close, those that deny and envy are just like the King who refused to cancel the joisting match and died a brutal death for it. Some rare few do see, admit it or deny it like fools.
My favorite thing about Nostradamus is how hard people work to twist his cryptic messages and force them to fit events after the fact. It's not like they could ever give you an interpretation before the event, nope.

The key is "cryptic and metaphorical", meaning you can make his prophecies fit almost anything. The same goes for prophecies in the Bible and other holy books.
This is an uneducated comment. I ask that you do your own research on bible prophecy before parroting what other people say. The Bible predicted the name of the king and the exact method of defeating a city 200 years in advance. There was nothing "vague" about it.

In a quatrain which opens with a vision of ‘combat and naval battle’, he writes that the ‘Red adversary will become pale with fear / Putting the great Ocean in dread.’
I have 2 books on nostradamus quatrain and what i know as a fact is that in all of is prediction only once did he mention a date . And that date is 1999 , and was about a leader that would come and generate great problem . But we dont know if that leader was born on that year or if he would start to make problem around that year . That would be 25 years ago . He never mention any other date before or after that . Soooo every time anyone write to says something about a specific date like 2022 , 2023 , 2024 or 2025 etc its a lie to deceive ignorant people. He does make some incredible future prophecy but they are hard to understand or predict before they happen .

His books/letters/etc are FREE, in different languages, since he died centuries ago (1566) and the relative published contents (by whoever in the past) have no copyrights.
You can find them in a 2 seconds search.
You will not find anything interesting as long as you are not intended to blindly "believe" on the base of the emotional (ignorant) "belief" that circulates in the society that those were prophecies.

The problem with Nostradamus' 'predictions' is he made it so vague and general, most of the times he mentioned things that repeated regularly in the history of mankind, such as plagues/pandemics, wars between various nations, natural disasters, changes of leaders, etc. You don't need to be a seer to know those things happen all the time

damn, if you've done biblical studies you really need to go back to the basics.
You are cherry picking stuff, by even cutting phrases, out of context, from "books" (of the bible) that are not relatable, starting from the eng. translations, only to make your own assumptions.
By acting that way you can find prophecies in the collections of comics like "spiderman" mixed with "mickey mouse"; and they would seem way more legit.
I'm sorry but you really need to work hard on BASIC logic (formal and deductive reasoning), philology, theology before even starting to open a discussion on the argument.
