Thank you! So much good information!! You are appreciated!! Watching from Michigan :)
Thank you so much! I’m new - I think my first class about three months ago, but I love it and I’m thinking of getting a kiln, so I can’t looking for videos just like this, of how to actually operate one, and here you are. Brilliant, generous, and so very meticulous. Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
@@Vsmithpots Thank you. Patience has never been one of my virtues. In my head I’m already building a full pottery studio in my back yard. I do need to slow down a bit there.
@@RoxyanneYoung I am doing a video on building a pottery studio, it should be built and posted by the fall.
@@Vsmithpots Excellent timing. I would have to wait until after the rainy season to start anyway.. I’m in Florida.
Very interesting video. Thanks so much for all your advises.
👋
It looks like you put kiln wash on your advancer shelf, did I see right? Thx for your tips
Yes, if you use porcelain or similar flux clays they stick to the shelf.
Thanks for this video. When you fire basque with pieces that may have a small amount of moisture. Do you leave all peep holes open and lid slightly ajar?
And when would you fire with peep holes open, or do you always plug them closed.
Can you tell me what kind (sizes, etc) of posts you like to use between kiln shelves?
About half way through the sound turns off. but sound returns after about 10 mins.
I posted an amended video with that part speeded up to only 13 seconds, it was explaining the stilts and caring for them. Thanks
Thanks for the video, so helpful !
