I don´t understand the jumper settings quite right: for the 27c256 you are setting in the video the jumpers 1, 7 and 8. But printed on the PCB are the jumpers 7,1, and 6 ? The same goes for the 27c512, you are setting the jumpers 6,7,8 and 9 but printed on the PCB are the jumpers 8,7 and 2 ?
That's pretty cool. I would make the PCB fingers part of the board longer so the IC and jumpers can stick up higher and toss on a ZIF socket. That would make it the perfect debug home brew board. That way you can test a burnt ROM and when it passes just put it on the smaller board.
Hello Ollie, I got the pcb's i orderd from your Etsy shop! ty for that. You got me all excited again for 30 year old love for the MSX :) now i have one question, @15:33 you tell about the swapping of the memory banks. only for 27c256 and 27c512. now, you swap 0000-3FFF with 4000-7FFF Is that for both IC's? or only the 27c256? in other words; 27c512 has larger banks, so from 0000 to FFFF Where does the swapping take place? hope to hear from you.
My friend do you think its possible to make multichips for multicart games in one pcb? I'm really curious about that. Many thanks and keep up the good work
Awesome work Ollie, I have always thought about releasing my original games from back in the day on cartridge (as they came out on tape back then). I have a box full of Konami repro cases that I bought off someone ages ago, but haven't ever got around doing a PCB.
Very nice work. This kind of project is always interesting to see. I’d love to see more like this - I’ve been wondering how to access a typical 80s speech chip via the MSX cartridge slot - I’m always amazed no one made a speech synth cart for MSX.
oh yes indeed that's a nice one. had forgotten about this version. I should come up with a list of available (free to download) homebrew roms for these carts I i can find the time
Where are you at the beginning? My life goal is to visit that location, looks incredible!!

Very cool. Can these be used to make a sound cartridge as well ?

EPROM burner recommandations ?
Greetings,
I wonder to see how does ROM cartridge data copy to cassette tape?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.

I just ordered some of these boards from Etsy, hopefully you got my order. To TX.
Just ordered one! :)
Where is that shore? What's it called?
Bom dia belíssima placas
Great video, congrats. Just a suggestion: you could use a tripod to the next time, your videos will be more cozy to watch.
I believe there's a Tetris from Kralizec that is only 8kB and a great homebrew version :)

You only sell this pcb on your ETSY shop and only in Euro?
