- This is round 5 of 2008 Toyota Motocross (450cc) Championship presented by FMF from Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, CO.
Returning contenders like 2-time 125cc champ James Stewart, Andrew Short, Tim Ferry, Michael Byrne, Mike Alessi, Davi Millsaps, 2005 125cc champ Ivan Tedesco, 2007 MX Lites/250cc runner up Ben Townley, 450cc rookie Josh HIll, Gavin Gracyk, Suzuki New Zealand transplant Cody Cooper and others battle it out for 2008 Toyota Motocross (450cc) Championship presented by FMF. This outdoor season is completely dominated by James Stewart. This is the very first Motocross held under the lights.

@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames There has never been a person in motocross or supercross history to change the way we ride the motorcycle he is the greatest because every person bases their riding style off of his, whether it be tomac herlings villopoto. You see his style in all riding today

@@VietnamAndKoreanFlashbacks I don't disagree with what you said, but I do disagree with those who say James is the GOAT because his accomplishments DO NOT come close to Ricky's.
@@VietnamAndKoreanFlashbacks I have not said anything about Stew being black as why I don't like him. The fact he's African-American DOES NOT concern me at all. His on-track incidents DO because that goes to the heart of my reasoning. I do believe the San Manuel debacle in '11 brought out James' true colors though.

Well, if you think you missed it, moto 1 may have been shown in highlights (which I never really liked BTW).
Please make tracks this dry again and less ruts! This makes better racing and more options to pass !

it was a night race because the summer temps combined with the altitude was excruciating on the riders and machines so it was raced around 8pm in the cooler temps.
I must admit that I was all for a nighttime national, but when they went back to daytime races in 2010, I was not too fond of it. To this day, I still wish, the race was still held at night.
The temperature is no worse than the heat anywhere else during the season.
where is moto 1 video?
Moto 1 was all online on a different site; what I have is the TV broadcast from the day it aired.
My home track Dirt country in Blanchester Ohio had night races I used to like night races with the right Oakley goggle with the clearance you can see through the race the whole time and win.
I'm impressed. Honestly, I kinda wished they didn't stop the night races at Thunder Valley because this made it look like Daytona.

I was at this race but I was only 4 but I still remember a couple things
That's cool that you were there. I'm sure that the National held under the lights for the first time is one of those things you remember, right? Maybe even seeing Austin Stroupe's bike get turned into a landing zone in the 250cc class?
yeah the thing I remember the most for some reason was ivan tedesco throwing his goggles out to the crowd Idk why but it just stuck with me
Idk I might remember this night more because it was my first national I believe
Oh then that was either 2005 when Tedesco won this National on a KX250F for Pro Circuit Kawasaki, or 2009 when Tedesco was on Team Honda in the 450cc class and won this National.
