Gus van Sant's remake was demonstrably not shot for shot. If you're in Glasgow in December, you can witness the proof at the CCA facebook.com/events/104968973594324/ "Glasgow-based independent filmmaker Hans Lucas presents a radical reimagining of Psycho, editing the Hitchcock classic with Gus Van Sant’s homage into a single narrative. Exploring both similarity and difference this unique cinema experience raises questions of authorship in an age of mashups and remixes and will dispel the myth that Van Sant’s version is a shot for shot remake." Haha, that knock on Eli Roth xD I appreciate the guy's love for horror, but he is definitely one of the least interesting people to listen to when it comes to horror opinions, as going by his horror documentary and interviews, he never seems to express anything that hasn't already been said by others before
"Eli Roth, who has nothing of interest to say."
When does he?
"Eli Roth... nothing interesting it say."
"to say"
Matthew Singh-Dosanjh thank you. I cannot type for the life of me

I talked to the director in a q+a, and he really wanted Tarantino to be interviewed, considering he actually prefers the remake to the original
As far as I know Gus Van Sant's Psycho wasn't an exact shot for shot remake.
Mark often mentions Dust Devil. More people should see that, it's brilliant. Has to be the Final/Directors cut though.
okay... I'll find it...
This would have been a good documentary but the ever present music drowns out the dialog. Quite annoying.

Did NOT think Mark was going to say baloney then
WHY? After Hitchcock/Truffaut says it all from horses mouth.
Not Freidkin AGAIN!!!
God help us all.
