There was more then one person named Darius in the Persian empire this is the assassin Darius. Xerxes father was dead by the time his son was killed. And he was killed by his body guard in real life as well. So it seams pretty accurate for me
This "darius" is actually Artabanus, who historically was a leader of Xerxes' bodyguards. Darius the Great was xerxes' father. The darius in this game is different.
Funny when you think about it. Masyaf and the Order of Assassins all existed in the past. Though, less save humanity's freedom from Ancients/Templar hands from a primordial race's tech and more egalitarian extremists who killed off Christian and Muslim leaders who supported certain values that didn't align to their own. All of that, to be destroyed by the Mongols... Wasn't there a Mongolian Assassin in AC? Kinda funny.

The only other way would be like AC 2, where you travel between the cities and skip most of the travel, then have 1-2 areas that are wide open expanses of rolling hills where roaming mongol forces need to be avoided
Cool 🤩
So when you make a game first read something about the country and the era of the game. BTW Darius is the father of Xerxes in reality.
Ya that shit confused me
Well he could just be another Darius. Not to mention that this nigga’s name is Artabanus, idk maybe search things up before you comment stupid shit
@River Nailmarx the king in daniel was darius the mede. He came before Darius the Great (Xerxes' father).
I want an AC games set in the stone age.
Not the first, and surely not the last. The Assassins of the Law. ❤🎉
For those who don't know the assassins were a real secret society back in the day.
I heard some stuff about them but from wgst i read they couldnt hold the power snd fisbanded or goy killed off
Funny when you think about it.
This cutscene was the best and only good thing that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey brought to the franchise…
Real.
how did you get through to the DLC while hating the game the entire time? fkin weirdos
Darius is an absolute dude! What a Chad.
I love that we saw some of the statues in the villa auditore
And now they are real characters we can see on screen do their legendary act
Like killing Xerxes or Cleopatra
Xerxes was a great king, not a cruel king like how they showed him in AC. the fact is Greek people write history and they lie about their strongest foe, who they could not defeat and got beaten by, Persians, and their great and kind Achamanian kings. some belived that some of those kings were prophets bc of how kind and loyal to justice they were.
no matter how great kings were to there own people, there were always evil monsters/cruel to the people they invaded/killed/enslaved so shut the f up
Leônidas 🗿
Ottomans🤔.
THE Parthians🗿🌚
Leonidas died fighting Xerxes the Great in the Battle of *Thermopylae 480 BC*
The mocap actor really put his all into that death
The thud sound when he plunges it in his neck. >
So technically Evior was using the blade correctly
no, not really
Wait what the hell? Wasn’t Xerxes the son of Darius?
No tf
Artaxerxes is the son of Darius not Xerxes
@@BigBlockChoc1 yes ft
@@mxns31 Xerxes I was definitely the son of Darius the Great. And Artaxerxes was the son of Xerxes I.
differemt Darius
CORRECTION: The 1st assassination was done by a caveman, who assassinated the alpha in order to clap the big booty female.
(Since ubi is going so far back into the past with every installment, this is plausible)
“Your deaths mean nothing!” What a coincidence, neither will yours lol
In the historical event, by killing the emperor Xerxes, the Achaemenid empire became weak and this means a lot. Contrary to what you said.
@@OmiDJamshidzadNot really bro cuz His son Artaxerxes I was a strong Shahanshah that focused on the infrastructure and other developments in the empire.
I could have swear logan pauls face was edited in the thumbnail.... looked like a arab logan paul
First use of the hidden blade!
Cain was the first assassin
Bayek was the first assassin of the order of assassins.
Hope that helps.
Bayek live in 85 bc darius live in 429 bc then he was firs hidden blade user
@@Amen-Magiyes, that’s what Whoizcasper is saying.
Cain was the first person in recorded history to assassinate someone.
Darius is the first person to assassinate someone WITH a hidden blade weapon.
And Bayek was the first ASSASSIN to assassinate someone, as a member of the Brotherhood of the Assassin’s Creed.
finally historically accurate hidden blade in ac
The first blade in assassin 's creed Odyssey 😢
The sound of his blade clicking out gave me feelings. It sounded fucking deadly.
This makes Odyssey look interesting
He looks look like Logan Paul in cosplay
😂
Dude dying looks like he's on the brink of laughter
Bruh ... East has SOOOO MANY cool stories to make games with ...
Shahnameh can be a GREAT reference too!
Darius: *has a blade on his forearm
Eivor: "I thought I made it up" 🤣🤣🤣
The first hidden blade was big. Imagine the wound size, and the slow death whilst your blood is gushing out 😨
A game set in ancient Persia would be great
There's actually quite a few assassains even before Darius who have assassinated someone. Darius is the most prominent, and of course, the earliest recorded assassination of a figure of power. Some might even argue it can go back to Cain killing Abel, who knows. History is a fickle, yet powerful medium.
The way he said that was like
“You deaths…. Mean…. Nothing 😀😀”
That line was awesome👌
"The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle is over... that even a god king can bleed."
-Leonidas I.
Wasn’t the order founded in 1334 BCE? So that means there had to be some kind of assassin like warrior against them. It would be cool if they make an AC game set in the Bronze Age with having someone like Moses or Achilles as quest characters along with Ramses II or Agamemnon. Maybe even set in the Neo-Assyrian Empire?
you can not ever change the history with game and films the true history is for our persian this is one of the greatest kings of iran. like Cyrus the Great Persian king
Xerxes was not a great. Cyrus was literally the greatest monarch of all time so he is a given
That ain't a hidden blade that's a retractable Katar 😭
The graphics and gameplay were so ahead of their time
if a part of AC os in persia,it will be great.sassanians, parthians or safavids are suitable for the story of the game😊
That preview is such meme material.
*Fun Fact* :In August 465 BC, Artabanus, the commander of the royal bodyguard and the most powerful official in the Persian court, assassinated Xerxes with the help of a eunuch, Aspamitres.
Bro is a god emperor and guarded by a few soldiers
Anything released by western creators always shit on King Xerxes and show him as a fool or a lame character like in the movie 300, mostly propaganda. But actually it is true that he was assassinated by his bodyguard lol
