Wormwood Hikes missed Leadville when he was doing the CDT, so looking forward to your Leadville visit.

Hi, just discovered your channel. I know you have been saying no one else is going N on the CDT. I am sure there are more, but I am also watching a guy called Goob on TH-cam. He puts out a video every other day and he says they are 2 weeks behind. Around June 22 he went N through Monarch Pass and is doing the high route. I think he is a bit ahead of you, but you have been doing a few more daily miles than him.
Love your accent, even though sometimes I have to rewind to catch what you said. And you are hiking in sneakers!! Love your attitude! Thanks for taking this old woman with you.

Yeah there are still plenty going north , just compared to the amount that started north, it's probably only 20-30%. There's a group of us at Winter Park trying to figure out how to get around this fire closure..

Glad you found your mojo Ben, I eagerly await each instalment. Tackling the AAWT in a few months so busy watching your time on that as well.

The AAWT is my favourite, think it always will be. When are you starting?

@@anothertravelflog late October, aiming for around 35 days. I'm glad you didn't flip flop despite the snow in the San Juans, breaking up a hike like that seems to diminish it somehow. Old school thinking I expect.

@@Derrenf66 yeah agree on flipping. Would of if there was no way through , but prefer to miss a few good things and keep going north. Hopefully you get better spring weather than last year! I'm toying with doing McMillan's track the week I get back if the weather aligns , but it needs to be perfect that time of year with all the river crossings, we'll see

Glad you have your mojo again. Was it the fishing that helped along with more food and electrolytes. Your cold soak jar is that a recycled peanut butter jar? Keep the story of your hike coming enjoying your comments are you hiking around any other CDT hikers?

No definitely the electrolytes I think. Eating more would of helped also. Spoken to a couple others that said electrolytes picked them up again this week. Yep just any plain plastic jar I use, not one of the cool kids using the fashion accessory that is the Talenti jars. I'm mainly only seeing others in town at the hostels. I saw no CDT hikers today once I got back on trail. I expect that to be the theme now that half have flipped. Passing lots of Colorado trail sobo's atm, plenty of them in town also

First time I've heard bushbash. It's catchier than bushwhack.
The temporary fatigue might have had to do with recovering from that long high snow slog as well as needing more fuel for the body.
    I'm really enjoying your videos.

Bush bash - Australian, or Strayan! Yep, I definitely think you are right about recovering from the high snow. A lot of others have had similar issues the last week. I'm back to normal now, hopefully...
