    Nice... I'm assuming these are for general wear? Otherwise, for sports, you probably want glasses with nose pads instead of just indents in the frame. Before I got contacts several years ago, I'd run in my glasses, and the plastic ones that sit on your face steam right up from sweat and the like. The ones that didn't, for me, we're my old spares that had the nose pads at a sharp enough angle that they were held up from my cheeks by a significant amount. But he probably has contacts to wear for his soccer because he's a professional and not a twelve-year-old girl.

    I know he put a lot of work into them, and I love his other creations, but boy those glasses are hideous, though maybe they're just not my taste. I hope he likes them!

    • @error.418
      @error.418 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they're just not your taste. I really liked them, and there are several others who seem to agree. But nothing wrong with not liking them, too. Fashion is personal. I mean, it's not like you're wearing the most adventurous frames in your avatar ;) So you just have a different style, they wouldn't be for you.

    They look amazing, but I think they look a bit too generic. Don't get me wrong, I still am digging them, but it would be awesome if you design some unique frames. Maybe try a frame with the style you used in the squeegee(?), where you made the inner pattern look through.

      sniperkitty 3000xx Oh shut up. The one I said it to, isn't even angry. I was not hating, I just gave some constructive criticism to an artist, which is crucial. There would be no good quality art, if no one would give any criticism. If you can't take it, then gtfo.

    • @RiBloody
      @RiBloody 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Sameer Pervez while how they said it was rude I think what they were going for was the "but" part. As an artist I know constructive criticism is great but the whole "it's great but" is one of the worst ways to word it, even in school it was terrible to hear because it felt like the first part is a lie and it gives people the sense they can say whatever they want? Anyway I think another way you could have worded it was "I think it's great and I was wondering if you were going to try any other styles? Perhaps more ornate ones?" Also those glasses styles are actually popular among some and for a sports player larger glasses are better, speaking as someone who owns prescription sports lenses.
      I hope you don't find this mean or anything I just wanted to throw my two cents in! Especially if you're going to be dealing with younger artists too since you seem to have good tastes in art!! Have an awesome day!!!!

    Good job - The frame front of most eyewear tips forward approximately 7 to 14 degrees from vertical ( a quality known as pantoscopic tilt ).It makes it look more settled on the face and contributes to better optical performance.

    Technically, you don't have to buy sunglasses again. You can buy some lenses off of amazon and 3D-print the shape you want. A lot cheaper and probably easier to replace than normal sunglasses

  • @RexusKing

    Question 1: is the 3D printed frame strong enough for the lenses to pop in?
    Question 2: what happened to your eyeballs :) ? Switched to contact lenses or laser surgery?

    You constructed a fashion accessory for the face, but given as these do not have lenses in them you cannot accurately call them "glasses" by any commonly accepted definition. This feels like clickbait, but unfortunately I suspect you were simply oblivious to the wholly misleading words you chose.

  • @ianturner2229
    @ianturner2229 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you considered exactly how the lenses are going to be fitted into the frames ?? You cannot bend them, so the current design will probably have to remain "glassless" which ain't to helpful if you need to wear them to read something, rather than just apparently looking cooooool ! ?

  • @ellis20022
    @ellis20022 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    There's such things as glasses with glass that won't affect your vision, some people find them "offensive" but it's pretty stupid, since glasses are suppose to make you look better anyways, so you should design your own custom glasses.

  • @stopquinn
    @stopquinn 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    As a person who wears glasses. Glasses with a very high prescription specifically. The dip for the lenses is very thin. Unless his vision isn't that bad, I personally can't see his lenses fitting. My lenses (at the thickest point) are about three millimeters. Because of the thickness, I'm very limited to my choice of frames because my prescription won't fit. So that dip might not be enough.

    • @make.anything

    • @MaximilianonMars
      @MaximilianonMars 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oliver for a premium the lenses manufacturers can thin down thick lenses. I do that for mine, previous lenses were sticking out of the frame at the front, however with this ?different material they are just as thin as anyone else's.

  • @danielch6662
    @danielch6662 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    There's no lens. That is in fact the biggest technical difficulty. How does the lenses clip to the frame. Bending the frame with a heat gun will distort them enough that the lens wouldn't fit anymore.

    Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel hey, greetings from Polish fan here :D I know it's offtopic but I don't know how to contact you other way. Have you heard about 3D pen Renegade? It can use scraps from plastic bottles as a filaments and it's on Kickstarter, available to buy on May 2017. I want to buy this thing but I'm looking for expert's opinion, can this actually work? Maybe you would know, you are definitely an expert :D sorry for bad English and also, these glasses looks super cool!

    Why bend it afterwards on metal-plate, why not in the 3d-design?
    You don't want supportmaterial because it would hurt the design?

      Basically, if you bend it, it allows for the look to be more uniform and more natural, obviously this sin't a problem for press modling, but it is for 3d printing, as t would take more steps to make it look uniform if it were 3d printed with acurve, like: sanding, alcoho lthings and so on and so on, I really don't know the detail processe
