Take a Bite Outta Rhyme: A Rock Tribute to Rap is a rap compilation album that includes well known rap songs performed solely by popular rock musicians. The album was released by Republic on October 24, 2000. The album consists of such popular names as Dynamite Hack, Staind and Fun Lovin' Criminals among others.[2] The albm reached #195 on the Billboard 200 on the week of November 11, 2000.

@Thorgal20 Sorry man, exaggerated a bit. by saying it is not the same i meant that Aerosmith wrote a rock song that got made into a rock-rap collaboration, and that the opposite happened with Public Enemy and Anthrax, were a rap song turned into a rap-metal coll. @Thorgal20 No man, you are wrong. Bring the Noise was a Public Enemy song released in 1988, specifically in the "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" album. The collaboration with Anthrax was in 1991 and this version was in the "Apocalypse 91… The Enemy Strikes Black" PE album. So... no, it was not like Run DMC and Aerosmith on "walk this way". That was Aerosmith's song before Run DMC collaborated with 'em. Ok? Know your facts before being sure about something!
Wow... when I saw who this was - I expected it to really suck... but the amount that this song blows really shocks me. Isn't there a "mercy rule" like in baseball - shouldn't SOMEONE listen to stuff before it gets released? This is horrible and when is Staind going to stop dragging Durst along for the ride? Dope did a cover of my childhood fav rap song "NEW JACK HUSTLER" So obviously this is a compliation and not all about your distaste for an individual but instead a tribute to everyones fav songs. You ever think about that?
It's always cool to hear covers that other bands do. I think this was a good cover for them turning a rap song into more of a rock sound. Kudos!!!
@MrBalltugger the amount of chords you play doesn't matter as long as it sounds good. it doesn't have to be complicated to be good. and as for the vocals, there's nothing wrong with them at all. whining? you must mean talking how life really is, keeping the lyrics true.
i want to tell you without starting the token argument and subsequent slag match that fred durst is not good. i dont want to offend or be little you, but man have you heard chocolate starfish? it is quite possibley the worst album i have ever heard for vocals. just awful.
see the reason why this isnt a very good cover is- besides the fact that Fred Durst can not get close to PE- the fact that the music is missing the same intensity that ANTHRAX brings- like they shuld have tried to at least keep to the original a lot more!

My opinion towards Fred is netural, but he destroyed this song, go listin to the PE/Anthrax version.
It's just like the original, but they removed everything that was good and gave it their own douchebag spin on it!
