As a mobile/wedding DJ who has maximum 100 people. What wattage do you recommend? Most venues has firealarms and I can't use Fog machine to highlight the lights (if you know what I mean)

Thanks, Learn Stage Lighting... I'm a newb in the lighting world, and thought different fixture types were matched up by lumens. Clear explanation (I didn't think about color temperature or color brightness).

But they all lie in lumens too, it’s like watts for audio stuff

No measurement is perfect, some are at least better than others

Finally someone talking about this question, nothing on google. Company got us all 300w lights. Front spots we use at 25%, back lights at 10%. Did we overpay and should have got 150/200w?

It does sound like they oversized it for your space if you never take it to full.

Thanks for the informative information and another great video. I'm trying to put together a dmx light show to go along with my fireworks show this 4th of july and I've been slowly accumulating things like 36 led par cans and a couple of trees to hang them on. My problem is that I'm trying to make sure I get the BRIGHTEST lights i can find for my budget - the reason, is that the show will be outdoors. I plan on using a couple of fog machines to help with beam visability (might even pick up a cheapy laser). The distance of the lights from the crowd will be somewhere around 20 to 30 feet might be up to 50 so you can see why i'm looking for bright. think outdoor concert. Is there any way you could point me towards some different moving head lights that might be useful?
Thanks in advance, sorry so long winded.

Have you checked out the Dominar Beam IP? We have a number of people using them in 4th of July Shows - www.learnstagelightinggear.com/products/dominar-beam

What about how CRI changes by intensity level?
