I remember I saw a comment about how this game was so silly but this song is so epic, and came to the conclusion that the fact they took the battle music so seriously despite how silly the game is may have been the silliest decision they could have mafe

WoL is such a silly game but the way the music takes itself so seriously is just amazing
while to the loathing world(s) to *us* is silly, to the people that inhabit it, they sure as hell take it (mostly) serious

West of Loathing is a blast to play, and the incredible soundtrack is a perfect contrast to the absurdly goofy writing. Definitely worth playing, and worth drumming to!!
NO WAY!! I didnt expect an ost from West Of Loathing to be appeared on your channel before. You gotta do the other ost in this game including thier sequel Shadow Over Loathing! (Side note : you gotta play both of those game its litterally a blast to play)

@@woopergaming2884 well I think it'll be a little tricky doing OSTs from that game, seeing that it doesn't have any music, or sound, come to that.
It's so fascinating that the battle music for a game that's drawn in stick figure form is so epic, dramatic, and serious, yet also slightly "funny" in a way.
West Of Loathing has that distinct "style" where it uses tons of comedy, but also has some underlying "epicness" (and some seriousness within the writing) in the way the game is like.
It's a parody that rightly affirms the style and genre of the west while also making fun of it AND having fun with it.
Also Markiplier's playthrough of this game is a national treasure and the reason lots of people in chat were talking about spittoons.
Let's just say that the spittoon is quite the "feature" in this game. XD
it's such a feature that in shadows over loathing, the game's sequel, there's even a speakeasy that has a spittoon supposedly owned by Mumflr Fumperdink.
Even the devs knew Mark's obsession with spittoons.
I found the game so inspiring that I decided to start writing a story about it that includes all character classes, horses and partners. A serious, funny and hopefully epic tale based on this quirky game and the Loathing world.

Man i love the whole loathing series i played the original way before runescape even came out and recently went back and played it, fun times
West of Loathing is one of the funniest and most well-written games out there. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, but I seriously suggest it. It was so much fun.

Also, if you think this theme is great, you need to hear its DLC counterpart, Ecto Perfecto. It's this on steroids.

Watching this video inspired me to go grab my switch and play through WoL for the third time. Every time is just as good as the last, and Byrd the Cow Puncher was able to defeat the game in three in-game days (two of which were waiting for the logging permit).
If you ever play this game, remember to go to settings and activate "silly walk"

I remember west of loathing. The sequel is a bit of departure from Wol in most aspects but still solid, yet I still prefer the origninal. It is a fenominal game with surprisingly good music.
