Absolutely brilliant. This is exactly how I coached my boy when he was little and just learning how to kick. And like you said I can't believe how many youth soccers games I've seen where boys are taking shots without any control and basically just hoping and praying the ball goes in the back of the net.. and these were club leagues and USSDA league where these young boys should already know how to strike a ball. Usually just for volleys. Pointing your foot facing forward is a very unnatural body movement. Even when hitting the ball with the laces, you want to angle your foot.

Is there a way to practice defense by my self and get better? Because I have no one to practice with and I have a tournament next month and I play defense but I need to improve to be ready. And I’m the youngest one on the team I’m the only middle school they all high school varsity and adult that why I have to work on playing people bigger than me I need help.

This honestly helped me sm, I'd never actually learned how to shoot. Partially Bc I'm a defender but decided I could get a lot better at it and after watching this video I had a practice and before it started we were just messing around taking long shots and I had a cannon of a shot in the top right from 20-25.

7mlc I need help I have Been trying to get a good power shot for around 4 hours now but it seems as all my shots can’t gain height and they always curl and gets backspin I have long legs and big feet so I find it hard to hit the ball with the sweet spot and I seem to always hit the ball from the bottom or top and it’s either on the ground or chipped

When I shoot sometimes I don't get enough height but I can get a good amount of accuracy and curve. How can I be able to shoot with more height
Just lean back a little more, and you'll get more height on the shot.
Also hit under the ball

How do you control the height of your shot? I'd like to have that hard low shot that drives just slightly above the ground but is still low.
Adjusting how far your lean back/forward is what determines the height of the shot.

the best way to shoot on a run is probably to put it low and hard, not go for top corners
