Hmm. Even when people see the plane there and the jetway attached to it once they say the flight is closed is because all the paperwork is done (weight and balance and all that). They cant just let people in. There is a lot of things behind a flight.

Seems like you could also reflect on being kind - we see snippets of videos, we don’t know Katie and we certainly don’t know how she turned out. Flying is mildly frustrating when things go as planned and exponentially more so when they don’t probably especially when you’re the cause of your issues. Whoever is replying to comments (which I’m guessing is Jill) stated that what Katie was saying in this video were her thoughts, not anything she said to anyone at the airport.

Here’s a hint! We always fly Southwest (unless it’s the Brennan and Katie flying out of Tallahassee). We use the Southwest credit card to get benefits like free flights and a companion pass. So every time we book a flight, a companion flys free! We book ahead too- saves $ on flights :)
It literally blows my mind that these kids have been on hundreds of flights and somehow act like its their first time in an airport, i.e missing a flight because of being at the wrong gate. Smh what's gonna happen when the parents aren't paying for the flights lol or the ubers?
Using the ride share service Lyft it would cost me less than $20. I have never flown alone before. I can imagine myself kind of panicking if I missed my flight somewhere. Knowing myself, I would try to see when the next available flight is to where I need to go is and find a way to pay for it.
No need to panic if that happens. That’s exactly what Brennan and Katie did, they went to the ticket counter and rebooked for the next flight :) Happy traveling!!

Katie…I think you need to take a moment and check the attitude. You waited at the wrong gate. That’s your fault not theirs. So to give attitude to the attendant is not okay. Your 18 years old. It’s not hard to figure out how to be at the correct gate and if your wrong that’s on you no one else.
