I love how Greta works with colors. This movie seems so powerful with all those warm colors. The roses and Saoirse with her red hair in the middle of them, her green jumper, the thrift shop, the purple wall of her messy room. I really love it when a director matters about little things from everyday life and tries to place and reflect them as good as possible with all they have. Stunning how some people can make a painting out of every scene and play with our emotions. Amazing! :)

Sacramento is very green and she incorporated that so well
I've actually read up on Greta's process when it came to constructing the visuals. She wanted to shoot on super 16 but had to shoot digitally due to budget. When going over the look with her DP and her colorist, she said she wanted to make it look like a color copy of an oil painting to make the image kind of break apart and make it look like a memory. And you can see in the darker scenes them going for that kind of papery texture.

Can we talk about Lucas tho?? I loved him here you could see his genuine friendship with Lady Bird and his panic about homosexuality, I, glad he was in this and three billboards

This film came from the heart. That’s why it’s so emotional

I'm sorry but Jon Brion's score is absolutely impeccable for this film. Greta's direction and his score really create the most beautiful atmosphere, my heart is crushed.
Ilsa Flynn same with eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Score was perfect and so was the movie.

Ladybird's mother deserves an oscar
The brilliance of this movie is the tiny details... the choice of Sondheim songs, the solitare on the computer screen showing how the unemployed dad is passing his time. And what her mom actually writes in the letters her dad salvaged... need to freeze frame this scene.

Frances Ha is one of my all-time favourites! Greta's character was so brilliant and real. Her performance was fantastic along with Noah Baumbach's incredibly down-to-earth writing

Esta mujer es todo un ejemplo e inspiración, especialmente para mi. Una adolescente que quiere ser directora de cine, y sabe que para lograrlo va a tener que esforzarse mucho, ya saben solo un 20% de mujeres son directoras y ademas vivir en un país latinoamericano donde no hay muchas salidas...en fin, ver a ella lograr lo que para mi es un sueño es simplemente reconfortante.
