Of all the tragedies in Mo Dao Zu Shi, the suffering of Wen Ning's family affected me the most. To the very end, they still chose to do the right thing despite all the unfairness of the world. Other people either died heroically or were vindicated in the end, but if I remember correctly, the Wens of Burial Mounds didn't get any vindication at all.
i grew up in war (tf is wasn't a civil war). the Wens affected me the most as well, especially Wen Qin. brutal. immolation is so inhumane no matter the context.
am I correct in my assumption that this was simplified in CQL? this was where Xiao Zhan wrote Chinese runes on his white shirt with his blood, right? that's the red symbolism here? cz, even that's a sneaky thing to do and it gives me joy. prior moving to the US I grew up in a police state, a close friend of China actually. we even use their internet filter (filtrnet) as our surveillance and censorship backbone. so im intimately familiar w how artists, scientists, philosophers, writers, cartoonists of oppressive states subvert the gov. im super proud of this show
