I've worked as an HVAC technician and done a lot of service calls for this same warranty company. Just save your money and don't blow it on these scam warranty companies
My son bought a three year policy and it was extended because he had referred so many people including me. His furnace went out last night and they sent a tech over to look it over. The wheel for the blower was damaged, they denied the claim. They said only regular wear and tear is covered???? So if a part breaks it is not wear and tear? He is in the process of appealing but if they don’t cover it, we are all cancelling our warranties that were referred. Such a scam!!!! Don’t fall for how great they are because there are many options for warranty companies. Also, they are not accredited by BBB.
I'm in Memphis and I have Choice Home Warranty, they are a complete ripoff. agree for a $20 job, but deny a $250 job. If they send someone to your home and they mess up something, choice does not take responsibility for that. I done with them.
I am in NJ and - I am unhappy Choice customer. My refrigerator stop dispensing the water and Ice. They send technician and while looking at the issue they broke one part. They never came and I lost money. Choice sent one more technician - nothing got fixed. They sent third technician and finally conclusion that part was broken and mishandled so they will not cover it. (which was broken by first technician). My refrigerator still not working. I lost time and money and issue is remain same.
I bought the insurance of choice home warranty. I have a problem with the air conditioner not cooling. And I contacted choice home warranty to fix it. And they contacted SA Heating and air conditioning to make an appointment. But CHW technican arrived late. And they looked for less than 5 minutes and said that the refrigerant coil was broken and couldn't be fixed and had to be replaced systems new . And take me $75 deductible. Then they reported it choice home warranty. In the end they didn't want to fix it

If you have choice home warranty drop them, they will cover very little if anything. Wife turned on self cleaning on stove glass broke. I called service tech came sent choice a price the sent back price to high. Only cover normal wear and tear I broke it. Between 2015 and 2018 over 500 complaints of inside glass breaks. He said mine was the first. They are a ripoff all home warranty Companies about the same. I dropped them no more home warranty for me.
It’s really difficult to be respectful and dignified. I’m a severely disabled Veteran and I simply can’t do the things I once could do. I never expected to be confronted with such unprofessional, unethical and “now we need this documentation, photos, etc.”. Remember: you have a “CHOICE!” Don’t make the WRONG “CHOICE!”
THEY CAN SEND A TECHNICIAN TO FIX YOUR PROBLEM, BUT IF THAT TECHNICIAN MAKES THE PROBLEM WORST, SUCH AS THE UNIT WILL NO LONGER TURN ON AFTER THEY WORK ON IT. CHOICE WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE THE UNIT. Please refer to the terms and conditions section A number 2; “All systems must become inoperative due to normal wear and tear.” In regards to the customer’s concerns with how our technician diagnosed their unit: Please refer to the terms and conditions section B number 6; “We have the sole right to select the Service Provider.” Please refer to the terms and conditions section E number 12; “You agree that We are not liable for the negligence or other conduct of the Service Provider, nor are We an insurer of Service Provider’s performance. You also agree that We are not liable for damages caused by the Service Provider, including, but not limited to, consequential, incidental, indirect, secondary, or punitive damages. You expressly waive the right to all such damages.”
Watch youtube and learn to repair shit yourself, folks. Not that hard to test thermostats, heating elements, ice makers, changing out faucets, etc etc.
My a/c was broken and went the tech from home choice warranty and said the unit was dirt and was my fault I need to pay him $250.00 not $75 which us my deductible told him I gonna call customer service why he said was ok he is gonna fix it he Charge me the deductible I did no do nothing now I got a dispute from the home choice about that
Just put the money aside instead of giving it to the warranty company.
I have over $10000 in my savings and I still think I don't have enough to keep my house running in the event of a catastrophic failure...."

Most home warranties are a big scam.
They haven’t given me my refund after 7 weeks of cancellation
