The “Normalcy” the foundation wants to preserve doesn’t seem like the natural order of things really, the beings they lock up have a better claim to be considered more natural. Also they really should call the surgeon by her name if they’re making her treat their employees.

Supposedly there are SCPs which could be declassified and become considered normal in time like SCP-001-EX-J (fire, just the concept of fire) and SCP-8900-EX (the very visual perception of color). I know that SCP-8900 became considered "normal" as it was not containable, but it's very existence opens the door a little on the matter. Still, there are some things that are better left locked-up rather than left free in the world or destroyed (like the fact that most to all surviving specimens of the Bubonic plague are in storage in case a genetically similar plague appeared and a parallel study between the two plagues may accelerate the progress towards a cure or vaccine. There may be other reasons I don't know about the situation.)
The SCP foundation has never really been considered good or evil ever in its run time, as far as i know they've always been depicted as Chaotic Neutral, while some iconic characters within the universe are shown as being more pure hearted than others the organization itself as a whole is rather obscure in its true alignment

They essentially normalized the anomalous for the benefit of humanity. Too bad the mainline SCP Foundation are still very black and white but at least they are learning the grey areas.

An SCP that's capable of saving lives almost got taken hostage...yeah, while she did manage to save herself from danger...Dr. Turner does have a point on why she can't be released, because she's proven to be someone that uses it for good, and it would be pretty tragic if something fatal happens to her.
They didn't need to coerce her to work for them by ambushing her! This is what made me mad about the video. She's into charity work. There is no reason that, with proper supervision, she couldn't continue that on at least a limited basis. They could have just approached her when she got off for the day, and made her an offer. The Foundation is open to working with their more harmless or beneficial anomalies within reason. She'd work great with an undercover team that does such charity work as a cover.

That other doctor had done a lot of research on her before they swooped in, so a more subtle approach would not have been off the table as an attempt, even if they approached first with a cover story in a more personal attempt to find out for certain how she thinks. She's a rare "real deal" good person with an awesome ability. At the very least, even going with the agreement given by the end of the video, cutting a deal with her that still lets her do what she loves while still otherwise servicing the Foundation would not be out of the picture. An ability like hers would nearly make her a walking future 05 Council material.

Honestly, they should’ve let her go to help other people that really needed it than their foundation. SCP-4197 is better than SCP-2295 due to her capabilities to work on the human brain. Though she can't produce chocolate bars for the patient when there's no possible organ repair/replacement that are not possible to improve the patient's health. I can easily imagine a heartwarming interaction between SCP-4197 and SCP-2295. "The world needs an artwork of SCP-4197 and SCP-2295 hugging each other or SCP-4197 taking SCP-999's temperature, STAT!"

Scp's aren't necessarily bad in the universe, they just don't like humans. You wouldn't call a tiger evil or bad just because it would kill a person. The Scp's are there own things, wherever or not they like or support the foundation depends on the subject
Around 60-80% of SCPs are evil or at least harmful to humans. 15-30% are fairly neutral to humans. 1-15% are nice to humans. The nice ones are vastly outnumbered, but they do exist. I don’t have all the entries memorized so these are just some estimates.
Actually, Safe doesn't mean it can't hurt but it mostly about how many probabilities has the anomaly to escape. There are SCP that are keter and they are actually ok, like 990.
