I was also really pleased with how confident Ludwig was with speaking Japanese. I laughed so hard at the candy shop when Pete was trying to figure out how to ask the owner what the certificates on the wall were, and Ludwig goes, "I got this. Sumimasen, nan desu ka?" Simple and perfect and he always wanted to learn and try.
Pete's mom and the boys singing happy birthday nearly brought a tear to my eye. I'll be blessed if my mom can sing to me when she's 74. I'm glad it was such a fun trip for everyone. Happy late birthday Pete ❤️
