כ"ק האדמו"ר מבאבוב נחת היום (שני) לביקור מיוחד בלונדון, אנגליה, לקראת שבת פרשת משפטים - "שבת שקלים", במרכזו תיערך שבת התאחדות בהשתתפות אלפי חסידים מכל רחבי העולם.
הרבי מבאבוב החליט לצאת למסע, לאחר שראשי קהילת באבוב בלונדון נכנסו למעון קודשו במוצאי שמחת תורה האחרונה, והגישו מכתב בשם החסידים בלונדון, בו ביקשו שיגיע לביקור בקהילה.
מדובר בפעם הראשונה, מאז עלותו על כס האדמו"רות, בה יערוך הרבי את השבת בלונדון, שכן עד כה הרבי הגיע לביקורים בעיר רק בימי חול, בעיקר לרגל שמחות בבית גיסו הגאון רבי בן ציון בלום, חדב"ן הרה"ק בעל ה'דברי שלמה' מבאבוב זי"ע ודומ"ץ חסידי באבוב בלונדון.
במוצאי שבת האחרונה נפרדו החסידים מהרבי לאחר מעמד הבדלה בבית המדרש הגדול של החסידות בשכונת בורו פארק בברוקלין. אתמול ליוו מאות חסידים את הרבי בצאתו ממעונו בדרך לשדה התעופה.
במהלך ימי הביקור ייערכו מעמדי קודש, כאשר גולת הכותרת של הביקור תהיה מעמד חנוכת הבית לבית הספר "בנות ציון" לתלמידות הסמינר של החסידות בעיר, שנבנה במהלך השנים האחרונות, ושעלות בנייתו הסתכמה במיליוני ליש"ט.
כך גם יתקיים מעמד הכנסת ספר תורה לבית המדרש של בחסידות בעיר, לעילוי נשמת הרה"ק בעל ה'דברי שלמה' מבאבוב זי"ע, לצד מעמד הנחת אבן הפינה לאגף חדש לבית המדרש באבוב. כך גם יתקיים מעמד יציקת הבורות למקווה החדש של החסידות.
במהלך ימי הביקור יערוך הרבי סיורים בבתי הכנסת ובמוסדות החסידות בעיר. לקראת שבת יגיעו אלפי חסידים מכל רחבי אירופה, מארה"ב, קנדה ומארה"ק.
