I love that Mikey is so polite and respectful to the places he goes. If he doesn’t like something very much he doesn’t badmouth it in the store, and his criticism is very constructive. He also recognizes when something just isn’t his thing. Mad props!
What a contrast in restaurants! The yakisoba at about $8 looked outstanding. Now the king crab experience was over-the-top& at $225 it was worth it. Firstly, the private room & chef, the delicate & varied preparation of the crab, the freshness & detail of the cooking methods & all done in a very professional manner! Very unique experience!
Since King Crab is technically a hermit crab rather than a normal crab, its inners are considered to be partially edible in Japan. The chef was very skilled in the way he separated only the tasty parts for the dishes. Awesome.
King crabs is not a hermit crab. Hermit crabs use the discarded shells of other crustaceans or snails as it's outer shell as they don't grow hard shells of their own. King crabs have hard shells of their own
@@theresabatuyong2388 yes that is a feature of a typical hermit crab. However, their species doesn’t end there and King Crab is classified as a type of hermit crab from a biological standpoint.
I've had king crab many times in my life and even I can see this is next level. $225 per person isn't bad at all, considering the chef's time and the cost per pound of a king crab...
Easily the best Mikey video in a long time. Every single place served good food. The dessert place...man that was special. The yakisoba with the seafood and runny egg...I was drooling. I love chicken soup and then the final boss...that King Crab. You are one lucky guy Mikey.
Wow amazing!!😂what a way to eat and really enjoy crab. Again WOW how the chef used every part of that ji-normous crab. Great job Mickey wish I was there with u on this one!!🤗👍
First, that King Crab experience was NOTHER LEVEL! Insane! Truly appreciate share, just another place to put o my bucket list. 😍 The shaved ice place does it the way I always would want .... some in the middle!! Cheers!
Honestly all of these dishes look solid but that egg was raw as hell. I can appreciate a runny yolk as much as the next guy, but when the egg whites are jelly? Blech.
Everything looks delicious in this video! Hope one day I can go to Japan and experience the food and culture. Love your videos, and I barely comment, but I've been watching your videos for years, and it's great to see how you have grown and your content evolve. Sending sm love from trinidad and tobago 🇹🇹 💕
6:21 technically speaking, chiboust is crème patisserie made with milk, sugar, and egg yolks lightened with Italian meringue by whisking egg whites and hot sugar syrup until firm peak stage is achieved. I have made it many times and it’s quite delicious 😋
Bought Peach kitkat plus other flavors popping up on ama & local groceries. The peach is absolutely spot on. None had chemical tastes & strawberry was just like a chocolate covered strawberry. Can't wait to get mine!
That looked like quite an experience, eating an entire crab in one sitting--the presentation is amazing! Next time I go to Tokyo, I will have to look up that kakigori place...
Nice video as usual! 😄👍 The tenpura asparagus you said in the crab restaurant, could be a sprout of some kind tree, which is a spring time speciality in Japan called "taranome" meaning sprout of tara tree. I looked it up in the internet but couldn't find English name of that tree. (can be Japanese Angelica-tree but I am not sure.)
After living in the UK for so long I always forget that more people know about Worcestershire sauce than the city, so every time I hear someone say Worcestershire flavour, I always think "how do they know what a city tastes like?"
That was the best looking yakisoba I’ve ever seen. Reminds of when I lived in Okinawa, Japan and I used to eat it at this little restaurant called first chance. I would love to go back to Japan so I could enjoy the cuisine.
They key to having amazing king crab besides the obvious is this: SMALLER SPECIMINS. The bigger ones might provide more meat, sure, but they're not as sweet and tender as the smaller ones. Same goes for most crabs, and especially lobster too.
Anyone else a little surprised at the beginning and Mike pouring "iced" tea? I associate hot tea, didn't occur to me that they drink it cold in Japan. No reason they shouldn't.
Mike Chen, I'm not a big fan of peach flavored stuff. I still tried the peach flavored Kit Kats before, though, and I didn't like them. For me, the best Kit Kat in the world is the matcha Kit Kats.
Hey Mike, can you confirm if the price for the crab is per person or the price of the total crab. Also saw that you were in Toronto and you didn't try Fishman Lobster Clubhouse! That's like the best seafood restaurant in North America!
I love that Mikey is so polite and respectful to the places he goes. If he doesn’t like something very much he doesn’t badmouth it in the store, and his criticism is very constructive. He also recognizes when something just isn’t his thing. Mad props!
It's always an amazing thing to watch these masters of their craft work right in front of you. I feel honored to join you on this amazing crab dinner

he wasn't paying 225 for the crab he was paying 225 for the chefs knowledge and the experience
Dang it that 8 dollar place was in my area i would come there atleast 2 x a week
Anyone else have to turn this up? It was like Mike was in a library whispering for like the first 5 minutes

Life is a big bowl of umami
I've had king crab many times in my life and even I can see this is next level. $225 per person isn't bad at all, considering the chef's time and the cost per pound of a king crab...
The chef's disassemble skills of that king crab is impressive! Especially the body.
Wow, so awesome you went that crab place, coincidentally we made reservations to eat there in May! 😊
I dont know why Mike didn't say the name of the Kakigori dessert place, but it is Azuki to Kouri in Yoyogi.
Maybe he gatekeep it haha
We would have to bring a translating device to read the menus. And how to buy the food tickets. Mikey does all with such ease!
If Mike coughs you know it’s damnnnn spicy

Ham sup xing!
For Mikey to say get the low level heat them dumplings gotta be hot af
Just got something to eat and saw a new video. Perfect combo
Mike acts so well for all these various sponsorships, I bet they love using him!
There is something so dark and hilarious about the cut from Mikey holding the live crab to it being chopped up at 15:05 💀
The best yakisoba and taco rice I have ever had was in Okinawa. Hands down.
I love the new subtle style!
Wow, I’ve never been this early. Thank you for your content and brings me joy and laughter.
thanks for putting in prices, helpful info.
That last part 🥹🥹🥹
My favorite was the dumpling place.... I can imagine that broth being so delicious and with those chewy dumplings and the vinegar 😋 🤌❤
This was enjoyable to watch!!!
those Dumpling soups look korean influenced
Splash of orange 🍊 juice 🥤
You had me at King crab absolutely delicious❤❤
Honestly all of these dishes look solid but that egg was raw as hell. I can appreciate a runny yolk as much as the next guy, but when the egg whites are jelly? Blech.
The ONLY King Crab vid(resto) that the body is fully utilized!
Other vids, only the legs are edible.
I guess the body parts are for the kitchen staff.
Everything looks delicious in this video! Hope one day I can go to Japan and experience the food and culture. Great delicious content as always Mikey!
wow, i really enjoyed the part with the king crab!
I just ate Yakisoba! Its one of my favorites
That crab experience is why Tokyo might be the best food city in the world. What else is comparable?
I like jamaican food too tho.
This video is Aamazing
Oh yeah!

Aww Mikey don't be scared, eat the sashimi!
Im absolutely starving
Seeing all these foodie places gives me idea 💡 of where to go when I visit Japan 🇯🇵
Crab heart? Well now, that's a first for me!
Your videos are incredible!
That looked like quite an experience, eating an entire crab in one sitting--the presentation is amazing! Next time I go to Tokyo, I will have to look up that kakigori place...
Thanks for sharing this amazing meal,
Nice video as usual! 😄👍

Awesome job Mikey
No umami?
After living in the UK for so long I always forget that more people know about Worcestershire sauce than the city, so every time I hear someone say Worcestershire flavour, I always think "how do they know what a city tastes like?"
My mouth is actually watering ❣️
Awesome foods.
What did that crab din din run ya? $$$ No mention of price. I think you're eating way out of our League Mikey !
Wait, so was the king crab sashimi bad? Mike just says 'it's so soft' in the video, it was the dish I was the most interested in.
I got the impression that he didn't like it but was being nice/respectful
He's never been a huge fan of raw seafood.
Im guessing it wasn’t texturally his favorite because he didn’t show himself eating more of it 😂😂
crab sashimi tastes like shrimp sashimi. but I think its creamier though. probably He likes it as well Ig
Azuki to Kouri
Awesome video! It all looked so gooood! 😋😋
That was the best looking yakisoba I’ve ever seen. Reminds of when I lived in Okinawa, Japan and I used to eat it at this little restaurant called first chance. I would love to go back to Japan so I could enjoy the cuisine.
All of the food looked so delicious.

injoy your yummy food
I didn't know sakura tea is a thing! 😂
Anyone else a little surprised at the beginning and Mike pouring "iced" tea? I associate hot tea, didn't occur to me that they drink it cold in Japan. No reason they shouldn't.
Iced tea is common place everywhere
Looks delicious Mike 😎😎👍👍
Wow. One of the best videos Mikey! Looks so good! Mhm yea!
Mike has come a long ways from not eating raw fish back in the days.
Looks amazing
Looks awesome 👌🏾
So much crab!!
Tokyo? I think that’ll be our next big trip. Taking notes. Lol
All of the meals in Japan, Korea and China are tip free. So technically you could subtract 20 or 25 percent from the total.
For the king crab meat, is that $225 per person or total??
Absolutely tasty looking Japanese king crab I think my fingers are leading to DoorDash
how do you stay so fit and athletic 😍

I see you are still having volume problems with your sound Quality
After I watched this, my next goal when I visit Tokyo is to go to Gyopao Gyoza
I’m in Tokyo now would love to meet you in person
Sound check on the part where you were eating that caramelized Apple dish I could barely hear you
My mouth wouldn't stop watering throughout the entire video 😋 🍽
Mike never had King Crab as fresh as that.
Hope I can received tokyo snacks Box from you sir God bless you
I should of gotten noodles instead of chicken wings tonight 😤
Wow looks yummy 😋
Looks yummy
Stank. Slurp. Rinse. Repeat.
Hey Mike, can you confirm if the price for the crab is per person or the price of the total crab. Also saw that you were in Toronto and you didn't try Fishman Lobster Clubhouse! That's like the best seafood restaurant in North America!
Mike as usual very professional everything looks great
The way the crab went from being held straight to a cut of the chef slicing its legs T-T (funny and sad lol)
Great video, very fun. However the music sound track is horrible. Hope you can fix that for next time.
