So, one of the things I did in 2021, was visit a Natural hair salon for the first time. I've been Natural since 2017 and I've never had anyone else wash my hair. So come along with me and let's get our hair washed!
The salon is called Bella's Touch and it's located on Lower Main Road in Observatory.
Girl, they were that friendly because you had a camera. when I went there last year they kept on complaining that my hair is too rough, and they said my hair was damaged. (I had a tapered cut growing in the awkward stage) I explained that to them but they did not believe me 🤣. I had to show them my Instagram for them to keep quiet.
What! That’s insane, I hate it when salons do that, like you’re suppose to help me not shame me, which is why I’ve avoided them for so long.
@@AvoryGrace it’s sad to see this still happening. If they wanted to educate themselves on type 4 hair, there is a ton of resources available. They just don’t care.
there was nothing wrong with the wash, in my opinion. you even got a nice head massage, which you do not get from other basic salons, the lady took her time with your hair, it was not rushed and she was gentle. the thing with her hands that you seem to have disliked, it could have just been her making sure your hair is detangled. i think you are just having a hard time with the fact that you paid R250 for just a wash. the place was nice, airy, clean, you were comfortable and the overall service was good, which is something i cannot say about many salons. the products used on your hair were specific for afro hair, which makes them a bit pricey, unlike what you would get elsewhere. and yes, you could have done it yourself, but then again, it is just a wash, there was no miracle to be performed. i am not sure how i feel about the price, i do not want to comment too much about it because i am not in that type of business, but i do know that at this point of my life i would not wash my hair for that amount, regardless of what type of a salon it is.

personally I have never been impressed with natural hair salon for wash and treatment. there is only lady that impressed me. the owner of ruutos, she is amassing, but the people working for her are just there for business shame.
My take away from this video is no one knows your hair like you do 🤎
