    I like the way you have taken a very efficient helix turbine blade design and used an inexpensive barrel to work for you. Do you have a web site where you explain all that you have done toward generating electricity?

    2 mistakes : 1) very unbalaced wobbling rotation, , which affects the alternator unit, eventualy it would destroy the alternator bearing and whole system , solution : you should cut the blades more precise , make a simple frame around the turbine and put a little longer vertical axis with a bearing around the top of it and conect it with frame , thus you will have much more stable system .
    2) alternator will NOT work on low RPM, you should,t conect the axis directly to it , use some simple belt system or a bycicle chain gearing to multiple effect of turbine rotation

      Instead of putting a bearing could you put another alternator fixed to a frame, this way you have two alternators producing power, and a frame to stabilise the whole system??

      The imbalance is an optical illusion of the white sticker
      What it needs is a gear system to increase the speed of the alternator which is designed to spin MUCH faster
      Compare your crank pulley to the alternator pulley it's at least 4x diameter meaning 4x engine speed
      That's VERY fast

    Does it turn fast enough with a direct drive to do anything productive ? My understanding is that an alternator needs to turn at about 600 engine rpm or more to produce any output .

      The alternators with a excited wire starts producing at any speed from what I understand. Alternators with 2 wires start producing about 6000 rpm. I'm going to do another demonstration soon I'm getting a alternator from when blue Power alternators that will produce at low rpm

      @@homstead69With an excited wire you will be increasing the drag on your turbine -- my next question is how much actual power in terms of watts can you get out of something like this ?

      I won't actually know how much what's it will produce till I hook up the new alternator

    The savonius rotor is based on “drag” and this is push. Can not work

    This turbine only accomodate wind from one direction only NOT the opposite direction.
