Videogames have never felt so fun...there's something about enjoying videogames more when it's calm and quiet outside...reminds me of childhood too, when there are fewer people, fewer cars, and life was slower wherr everyone could just enjoy whatever little things they were doing, and we didn't have all these smartphones that and too many distractions, and videogames were just so much fun cause you dedicated most of your time to them. And now, it feels like that again but only now we got all the newer next-gen amazing games to dive into...and ff7 remake is coming out soon along with so many other amazing games in April
It’s been said many times before, but I’ll say it again. The PlayStation Access team are all amazing in their own ways and I feel bad Rob sometimes gets the most recognition. But, you really are an exceptional writer and put into words the internets shared love of video games in such an eloquent way. We all appreciate the years of features you have made and the amount of creative energy and love that has been poured into each one. Hands down, these videos are my favorite on TH-cam.

I played through Flower recently with my son, and we both had a fun time playing it. We both went through the wide range of emotions that game puts you through. After finishing it I just kinda sat there for a bit as he ran off to play and realized that game so simple had somehow touched my heart so deeply and I had a good cry. Flower is all about life and connecting with others and even though things get scary and dark the sun still rises and everything that is broken can be fixed again. I'm still surprised by how deep Flower is despite its simplicity.
@@GoodNeutralEvilChaos Trolls being Trolls never change. Even when you tell this clichee multiple times it's still wrong and being a non-gamer still doesn't make you a better person.
Idk if i would agree with "exploring" skellige per se as that can in fact remove the serene music when you accidentally find a harpy lair or the like, but "experiencing" skellige and just letting it wash over you? That i can get behind. It really is supremely beautiful.
When I first arrived and took Roach up to Kaer Trolde I slowly took it all in, letting the serene music wash over me. Just one of the many amazing and unforgettable moments I have from that game.
When it all becomes too much for me, I unwind and relax by watching some Playstation Access videos and laughing with my friends from across the pond. Rob and the whole team never fail to bring a smile to my face even on the worst days. Stay safe and keep gaming

After all, the electric towers introduced late in the game can singe off some of your petals if you touch them, making your train of colorful petals slightly less beautiful as it wafts across the sky!
I played Concrete Genie for the first time last week to help with my state being quarantined and it truly is a game to just sit and chill out to. I highly recommend it in times like this.
I discovered the Glass Masquerade games this week - basically beautiful stained glass window jigsaw puzzles with lovely chilled music. Thoroughly recommend.
Literally EVERY Elder Scrolls game for me. Doesn't matter if I'm playing Arena or Skyrim, I hardly ever do any quests anymore. I just slowly walk/ride around while the calm, soothing Jeremy Soule music plays in the background.
This is oddly perfect for today. I felt like Abzu's story was completely pointless. To be fair, I was expecting Journey levels of insight and emotion. Disappointment was inevitable. It has some cool scenes, but that's about it.
Great Feature, but I would like to formally challenge you to do a list of games, from across 4 generations of Playstation, that you've never talked about before. "7 Criminally overlooked games we've never put in a Friday Feature" or something like that? That would be amazing!

For me, Chillout games are turn based RPG's. But since social distancing became a mandatory thing, now I have the time to play the Single Player games. So for a while I'm gonna take my time with Days Gone and replaying Kingdom Hearts 3 with the DLC. I literally got the DLC when it was released, started a new game and a few days later, for some reason I decided to get the Rainbow Six Siege Platinum. Just two trophies away.

Hey Rob. Thanks for the video. Stay safe! Also, really appreciate the comment about shark not being a mindless predator. Keep up the good work and stay healthy.
I would add The First Tree, Rime, Fe and, mainly, Journey. I know you mentioned it, but it's probably my favourite game of the decade, so it's definately worth a shot. Other than that, pretty good list! Chill games are my favourite genre, and they are marvelous for times like this.
It may sound weird to some and Rob is going to love this one but I think Death Stranding is quite peaceful. Sure the BT's a and other enemies do get in the way sometimes but when I'm walking or riding the motorbike there's a calm and serene feeling. It feels good in these times or after a day of hard work.
My recent chillout games were "Eastshade" and "A Short Hike". I'd also recommend "The Witness" for those who like clever puzzle games. I'm on PC though and I'm not sure if any if these are on Playstation too.
Surprised to not see Firewatch, Hue, What remains of Edith Finch, either of the Unravel games or even The Witness. I'm a huge fan of chill out games owning all of the above and the ones on the list, definitely some amazing titles to check out for those who haven't.

There is nothing more relaxing than playing Stardew Valley! I completely forget reality whenever I start the game. The music is incredible and everything else, too.

Star Ocean: till the end of time is a really fun game, bought it way back on the ps2 because the cover looked cool. Now have it on the ps4 and keep playing untill ff7r comes out.
While it's not a game you would typically think of...personally fallout 3/new Vegas can be very relaxing. Just wandering the capital wasteland or Mojave desert, listening to the radio stations all the while your faithful companions fallow you. The sounds of your armor, the wind/rain and the muffled music on the radio being the only things you can hear. Maybe occasionally being brought out of it by a random encounters of combat...or coming across an entire town or lone house/farm you would've/never have found before because it's not marked on the map or tied to a quest...brb gonna play some fallout 3

The Witness is my ultimate chill out ultra relaxing favorite game. Sounds weird but at times I almost wish it wasn't a game but real life for a while. Anyone looking for a very relaxing game try The Witness!
You know you're going to be alright when you get slightly asmr Rob Pearson 😏
There is nothing more relaxing than playing Stardew Valley! I completely forget reality whenever I start the game. The music is incredible and everything else, too.
I just completed Diablo III after platinuming Assassins Creed Odyssey. Now I'm going back to Star Ocean: till the end of time. Atleast until Final Fantasy VII Remake
Lol I'm playing Star Ocean 3 too 😂
Star Ocean: till the end of time is a really fun game, bought it way back on the ps2 because the cover looked cool. Now have it on the ps4 and keep playing untill ff7r comes out.
I’m surprised he didn’t put doom, I can’t think of a more relaxing gaming activity than demon slaying nonstop.
I always tense up when I play Doom
While it's not a game you would typically think of...personally fallout 3/new Vegas can be very relaxing. Just wandering the capital wasteland or Mojave desert, listening to the radio stations all the while your faithful companions fallow you. The sounds of your armor, the wind/rain and the muffled music on the radio being the only things you can hear. Maybe occasionally being brought out of it by a random encounters of combat...or coming across an entire town or lone house/farm you would've/never have found before because it's not marked on the map or tied to a quest...brb gonna play some fallout 3
For my money Firewatch should have made the list. Amazing soundtrack and just a cool story.
Video games are ART
I needed this video more than I realised. I'll be checking some of these out for definite.
Thank you.
This video made me realise how much we need a AMSR video from Rob
I seriously can't think of anyone who resonates so much with video games and describes them in such a fashion. Fantastic job as usual Rob😀
Unraveled!! it's so calm and relaxing and the visuals are amazing and the soundtrack is just...wow
Rob ASMR is something that I don't expect but now I can't live without.
The first 20 seconds I think have been every gamer's attitude since this social distancing and staying home thing was just started being talked about when people were starting to get stressed over how they'd cope with being stuck inside. Perfect
Yeeees the cave in Dear Esther is the best part!!
If Rob was a Pokémon
“Hello, you’ve ALMOST caught me”
I've been playing No Mans Sky VR recently, and I've lost hours
You guys are the reason why I have played so many different kinds of games, you describe them in such a way that the back of a game cover does not
Absolutely love that you guys can still do this channel while social distancing I’m 100% sure this channel keep up the morale in these uncertain times and I hope everyone on the access channel and the loved ones are safe and well too robs Friday features and the Tuesday checklist are the highlight of my week
Abzu is my favorite game ever. I bet it's on here...
Edit: I got worried lol.. but there it is!!!
There's something comforting about videos acknowledging this weird crisis were in. A lot of people are stuck being alone for awhile, but it'd be so much worse without digital communication. And yes, right now I DO need some game suggestions, cause I got a lot of time to kill and I don't want to do it alone.
