That's a very nice and gentle intro to ML. I appreciate that you took time to talk about privacy.

Great introduction to ML with just a few lines of code. Thanks for the immense effort it must have taken to produce a short video explaining how this can be setup to run locally instead of of some magical server somewhere with respect to privacy.

love your videos! I've used teachable machines to make models that play video games, i took a screenshot every 20 milliseconds and ran it through a classifier and performed actions based on what it saw. I'm currently making an on the fly classifier for an NVidia comp currently as well!

Released on the day of the Nobel Prize in Physics 2024 for "foundational discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks” awarded to John J. Hopfield and Geoffrey E. Hinton. Perfect timing!

Hi Dan, so excited for the new ml5.js library, i think it has improved a lot. I'm currently figuring out the new methods in BodyPose, HandPose and FaceMesh for research purposes, hoping that you would make a video guidance on changes in creating and training dataset.

Next videos will be about BodyPose, HandPose, and FaceMesh indeed!

Haven't watched the video yet, just wanted to say I already have my printed copy of The Nature of Code! (it took some time getting one here in Spain) I'm loving it, the quality is so good, congratulations Dan 😊👏

Thank you!! Where were you able to order it from?

I ordered it from an Amazon seller, but then Amazon itself was selling it a few days after. I would love to get the stickers, but the international shipping was too high for me 😅

Huh, I'm doing exactly this but in Unity for an app at job, and it's not remotely that simple :(
I'd say that all that complexity is hidden very well, great work from the devs of ml5!

@@DrBlort I was gonna say, I’m using resnet50 in Python and definitely a lot hidden here unless he’s straight using the library which is seems like.

I've followed you all those years Dan learning and didn't note your grey hair until you showed the two videos 😂. I suppose it is the same thing with myself.

I see videos about object recognition all the time, but they are simple and very different objects. Can the same thing be done reliably with something more intricate and possibly more similar like paintings, stamps or baseball cards?

Wow, and Pat Vira had another odd ball for me like this , if anyone is having strange issues with flipped. My Spiral betty had an issue with SVD library and my p5.min version my vscode p5 extension gave me, and this one too.... it's fine with your CDN p5.js, same with Pats, but my p5 extension that makes p5 projects quick, it's version of p5 in vcode sometimes has an issue. this was one of them.
