Your beautiful painting shows castle "Neuschwanstein" in Bavaria, Germany - where I come from... It's one of the most known castles of the world, built from king Ludwig - but I think also one of the most painted and photographed buildings of the world. It seems the colours are very strong, he dips in just a little and gets very intense colours. Is this due to the brand of the colour or due to having them prepared wet already before starting or how is he doing it?
I'm perplexed about Javids' painting. If this is Watercolors, where's the water? His paints are thick like acrylic or oil paints
It's a combination of both... Javid uses alot of opaque colors and colors that have white in them. And as you stated, he prewets his paints... and doesn't use alot of water on his brush. It is basically painting with watercolors, but almost like acrylics. Professional watercolors are much much more pigmented than student grade, and even mores so than craft grade.

I have the same question. I think a lot of semi-transparent colours are used (the ones that have with white watercolour mixed in them) . Also he lays it on thick, like poster or gouache.
