This is Cindy…. Buddys mom!!I I want to give you an update on Buddy❤️❤️
Side note --I am so grateful for Buddy and for Dr Doug🫶🙏
Buddy is doing so well-his front paws do not splay out , his back right leg only shakes sometimes and he is able to put about 80% pressure on that leg. His back left leg is solid!
Buddy eats and drinks standing up and also stands on his own to pee and poop ( in case you wondered LOL)
Buddy has been sleeping through the night !! He also is able to walk on the hardwood floor now!! His tail is always wagging, especially when we walk and people know him!
I do walk with him 1-3 times a day and I leave it up to Buddy where we walk and for how long. It averages around 1 mile per day total. ( as a reference point he was doing around 2 miles a day before he got hurt- and couldn’t stand -July 12th).
Buddy goes up and down curbs like a champ and he always walks in the crosswalks.
Buddy is a happy, healthy and very much loved 17 year old mixed breed dog ! THANK YOU for all of the sweet , kind and loving birthday wishes!! 🙏
He is back to doing some things I was not sure if he’d be able to do so I am beyond blessed and grateful!

Am so glad Buddy got the help he needed to be able to enjoy his life again. A good chiropractor is gold for animals.
A good chiropractor is good for all living things…except invertebrates.
In 2015 my parents dog had the same issue, he was also 17 at the time, we saw some vets and they all wanted to cut him open to remove some bones, that was an instant no no for us, instead we took him to a chiroprator and after some loud cracks and adjustements he could walk again, he lived happily for 4 more years after that and passed in 2019 at the ripe age of 21, with the exception of stairs he had no trouble walking until the end, we buried him in the yard.
Amazing story, I‘m sorry he passed through the rainbow! But nice to hear what chiropractic can do! Thanks youreprettygood for sharing.

I think most chiros are quacks, but it's heartening to see this dude literally help a dog to walk again. Pretty damn neat.
My Chiropractor has put me back together twice - after a really bad fall and a car accident.
The doctors said nothing’s broken so take this Vicodin and you are done!
I could not lift my right leg enough to climb the stairs in my house. My friend recommended her Chiropractor and it was magic. Without him my life would be bedridden and hurting. With my Chiropractor I have been able to work until I was 73, retire and walk at the same time!
I just discovered the Dog Chiropractor and I love that this trained Doctor can help animals the way another helped me. Living pain-free is incredible and I am sure these lovely animals are grateful for the relief he gives. Keep up the great work!
Fully qualified ones are not. In South Africa it's a 4 year degree plus a masters degree, which can take another 3 to 4 years and 100s of hours of practical plus internship
You have to see their qualifications. I went to a chiropractor for 4 years because of a degenerative bone disease. He kept me mobile for another 4 years. Look for a rehabilitative trained chiropractor.
I have seen mine for 28 years. Would be a mess without him.
Chiropractic in the US is not as well regulated as some other countries. And we really don’t understand how it works. So there are a lot of magical thinking and beliefs that persist and are exploited by unscrupulous individuals, stereotypically by selling non-FDA approved supplements. But the bodywork is definitely therapeutic for many symptoms.

I think one of the more convenient things about senior dogs (or senior pets in general) is that they're understandably skittish in the beginning, as all of them are, but they catch on so much quicker than youngins that this procedure will ultimately make them feel so much better, and they calm down a lot quicker than puppies, who are almost always defensive

I can't believe the difference in that dog Buddy. You can tell the Chiropractic sessions are really making a difference in his gait & his frame. He can walk now, wow. What a lucky dog. My dog Tarbaby was 23 . She developed hip displacement & severe arthritis in her hips. She got to the point where she couldn't walk anymore. I got her a wheel chair, which worked slightly. She was just so old. A very old lady dog. I wish I would have known about a Chiropractor . If nothing else it could have helped relieve pain for her. Her vet had her on Doggie Dans, or Percodan, which is aspirin & Oxycodone. For pain. It also gave her constipation. I think that Chiropractic treatments would have helped to give her some mobility back.

I love when pet parents pay attention to their pets details. Vets seem to want to give a textbook diagnosis. They have joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones and nerves just like us. I am happy for Buddy and Cindy. Love every moment ❤

I took CPR for dogs and cats. It helps so much. I’ve never had to use it, but I’ve learned how to restrain them, where to find their pulse, etc.
What a remarkable change! At the beginning Buddy looked like a dog that was near his end. Afterwards he presented as almost a decade younger. You must be very happy about the outcome, Doc. 👍
On the first visit the dog was afraid of the weird, questionable, sometimes painful experience. Between visits, after realizing he had much better movement, he realized what his mom was doing. During visit #2 you could tell the dog was like 'Okay, I "get" it now!' 🐕
He's walking, amazing, so happy he has a better quality of life.

Wow what a recovery. From not being able to stand to walking again.
And I think that we all understand: when you loose the ability to walk, the quality of your life takes a big dip. Especially in case of animals that can not disctract themselves with different activities and find solace in understanding what is going on, having to go through all the pain and fear without even being to express it - and especially in case of a dog that is used to daily long walks with their human. These four sessions could have just easily given Buddy a whole new lease on life. And hopefully it will be years of happiness to come. Buddy could not really say it with words - I am sure that you are well aware of exactly how difficult it is to use a keybord with dog paws and he is a bit old and not very hip with computers anyway - so I will be the messenger here. Thank you, Dr. Doug!

I can’t believe I didn’t comment on this video when I saw it. I watched this sad and fragile dog going from non mobility to stand up and ready to go. Life is a challenge as we age but loosing our abilities to be independent has mental blocks that can be a fast process to a shorter life span.

What a beautiful older pupper! Buddy is equivalent to an elderly gentleman approaching his 90s! As he was toddling along with Mum at the end, I could almost see an old man in a tweed jacket and his peeky blinder hat and a distinguished cane, plus bow tie, of course! Well done Doug on all your adjustments for Buddy, he was in bad shape! That last T7? And sacral adjustments were good ones. Good find on the displace knee cap too. I hope Buddy can keep toddling. ❤

Its amazing how he doesnt ever look scared of you even though when you adjust him he feels pain. He knows youre helping him feel better its awesome

Been a shelter volunteer, Thank you doctor for giving this senior boy more comfort so he can move around with less pain. Seen many senior dogs that have hip dysplasia that nobody will help them with and it's sad especially when they have such a good temperament and want to be happy.

Ouch, having had a dog whose hip dislocated, this was a bit hard to watch…but yay! he has improved so much! Look at him go! What about some nice warm water therapy to (re)build muscle?

My heart is deeply touched by Buddy's patience throughout some very painful adjustments. He is so trusting and sweet. What a joy to see so much recovery of mobility. I wish Buddy more yesrs of a happy life with his human family.
