i imagine that could take place after a genocide. Frisk feels terrible and begs Sans for forgiveness. maybe its hard for him at first but seeing how badly Frisk regrets it he cant help but forgive them especially after they promise never to harm anyone again. well at least thats what i think when i see that picture.
It's been so long since I've listened to this song, and I still know the melody and words. It holds a special place in my heart because it shows how Sans is struggling about Papyrus's death with Papyrus not understanding the situation well enough. And pair all that with your voice Shara, it just completes the song. I really really can't get enough of it. If I could, I'd listen to it all night long. SharaX, you may never get this message -- but I'm a sculptor and I've made many...many Undertale sculpts so far using your music as inspiration. My nephews are fans of Undertale to an unfathomable degree, and I'm working on the 10-year-old's Sans-battle sculpture now. Without this music, it's hard to keep focused on the character that it inspires, so thanks. Inspiration is the only thing that keeps my pained butt in gear, you've been a godsend.

This is definitely my favorite of the entire Undertale/Deltarune playlist. I put in on a loop and just vibe. Several are on top of my list, but there's just something about this one that just gets me.
I had an idea au for this: fanon name: renegade sans. canon name: he who has none- he has no name and way too many titles. background: he is similar to underplayer- an amalgamate of code, renegade sans is named so for the fact that they never fits any timeline or universe. No effects or effort sticks to them due to their amalgamate status. their soul is a combination of a shattered soul and seraphim combined soul. Due to their power the universe can't hold them in ,their residence is in the mental space in our heads

fanon name: renegade sans.
canon name: he who has none- he has no name and way too many titles.
background: he is similar to underplayer- an amalgamate of code, renegade sans is named so for the fact that they never fits any timeline or universe. No effects or effort sticks to them due to their amalgamate status. their soul is a combination of a shattered soul and seraphim combined soul. Due to their power the universe can't hold them in ,their residence is in the mental space in our heads
