a lot of the Melvins fans are older and have been fans for ages. the older you get, the less you need to jump around and be crazy to appreciate music. quit bashing on the crowd. some of them have probably been listening to these guys since before some of you were born.
Yeah, hello… Welcome to my world… Saw them at a time when cellular phones were for fuckheads who rode around in limousines and we all threw bottles at them
I was lucky enough to see the Melvin's in September of 2006 when they were touring for a senile animal. I feel like this was a high point for the band, simply amazing. I love ozma, bullhead and eggnog but this record put them on a entirely different level.
WHY TWO DRUMMERS???? If you HAVEN'T seen them live, you'll NEVER know the answer to that... IT WILL BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF and have your ears ringing for DAYS! Thats the point! Been a Melvins fan for over 7 years know, seen them for the first time last week. Once you go, you'll understand grasshopper.
Anyone who is wondering about the crowd. It's Norway. This is what scandanavian people are like. Though I would say dancing would help keep you warmer.
Great fucking band. I saw them live and was blown away for lack of a better word. It’s like getting hit by a truck and loving it. The sound was so thick and the band was in the pocket tight as hell. Definitely innovators who found their own sound and ran with it. I’ve never heard anything quiet the same but have heard others try to imitate falling short.
@joequirk king buzzo probably has Viking ancestors, there seems to be a lot of Scandinavian history in Seattle. (Laguage courses at the college, museums, seems rich). Coastal lands!!! Fish food! ;)
@classicalmurray If you listen to the studio albums Crover runs two drum tracks on most songs....his solos have multiple layers also. Hats off to anyone that can hold a candle to him; it's a thing of beauty.
@classicalmurray they dont always play exactly the same thing. right after the first break in this song they are playing two different things. it leads to a whole world of other possibilities, not to mention it looks and sounds fucking awsome ;)
@classicalmurray They don't always play the exact same thing---one frequent example is when one just goes at on the snare while the other hitting cymbals/snare. either way it does make it more awesome.
If you've never seen Melvins with both Dale and Coady live, then you'll NEVER EVER understand the two drummers thing. I pity you. Yes, they do harmonize a lot, but they also have a lot separate fills and solos. 3 shows in the last year is what i've done. I have to live with the pain everyday that i wasn't listening to the melvins 20 year ago, and the three times ive seen them should be my 300th time, but thats life. And thank God i live in a world where they are always just a click away.
@classicalmurray Dale is getting old, so his bones are getting weaker. He has said this himself. So, they need another drummer to keep the low end powerful

Fantastic comment!

I’ll be seeing the Melvins for the first time in 22 years this week.
Word! Been a Melvin fan since 94!
The sound of the guitar is so awesome. Heavy and happy can exist. LEGACY OF THE MELVINS
Man i love this riff and i can't get enough of it!
being one of them. Melvins fans are the most Fd up looking people around. Good to see like fellows.

Met Buzzo in whole foods in NC. Got a selfie with him. Bizarre!! 🤗❤️

My favorite lineup of theirs, even though I also love their current one!
Mesmerising.
We've seen them 6-7 times, but saw them with Big Business in Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma several years ago. You should have been there. Best show ever.
I like the crowd not for being quiet but for the way they enjoy and listen.
Because they aren't American they feel no need to whoop at every small detail.

They just awesome
Not all that enthused with the last few albums, but (second only to Frank Zappa) still my favorite band.
I've seen Zappa twice and the Melvins 6-7 times. You've got good taste.
Fantastic recording quality
at 3:20, King Buzzo launches into the song sung by the crowd's Viking ancestors as they launched their ships for glory.
@joequirk king buzzo probably has Viking ancestors, there seems to be a lot of Scandinavian history in Seattle. (Laguage courses at the college, museums, seems rich). Coastal lands!!! Fish food! ;)
the sound is great on this concert!
thank you
Sooooo tired of crappy handheld cellphone videos

so heavy!!!
cannot wait to see these guys in august on their 30th anniversary.
You gotta remember a lot of stoners are into the Melvins. Maybe the crowd was just stoned as fuck
WHY FUCKIN' NOT IS RIGHT. MELVINS ARE FRIGGIN" INCREDIBLE!!! They sometimes will play two seperate parts that combined makes it a bigger sound.
TREMENDO!!!!!!!
1:04, did that guy choke on his beer or nearly drop it? I had to keep going back to watch him...
About 3 years too late, but he most likely choked on it.
Jajajajaj
Lol! I wondered if was about to puke.
He was knocked into...
So sick
The call to civilize ourselves. GO MELVINS!
@classicalmurray To make it louder, so they don't need to mic the kit. Also, they don't play the same thing all the time. There are just select parts.
fucking incredible song
son buenos dime tu si no seria dificil tocar al tiempo con tu compañero
se nota que hasta hace poco descubriste The Melvins BABY
MELVINS RULES!!!! ....LEARN CHILDREN, LEARN...
@classicalmurray they dont always play exactly the same thing. right after the first break in this song they are playing two different things. it leads to a whole world of other possibilities, not to mention it looks and sounds fucking awsome ;)
@TheGorgorothSpire
they're not used to original music, it makes them confused.
That crowd obviously doesn’t know the song because they would have been crying/screaming/jumping when that last part kicks in!!!!!!!! I am right now!
they good...
@classicalmurray They don't always play the exact same thing---one frequent example is when one just goes at on the snare while the other hitting cymbals/snare. either way it does make it more awesome.
@m3LvIniSt they dont always play the same thing, and when they do, it's twice as heavy!! MELVINS RULE DONT QUESTION IT
i cant help at the start of each guitar line i think My Hero by foo fighters haha
@JoshNortonalias sounds like nirvana and alice in chains all in one.
If you've never seen Melvins with both Dale and Coady live, then you'll NEVER EVER understand the two drummers thing. I pity you. Yes, they do harmonize a lot, but they also have a lot separate fills and solos.

😊.
@classicalmurray
power of the one!
Funeral crowd...my god...Jared Warren best bassist player they got so far
@Disburden it isnt electronica so they're not quite sure make of it. I kid I kid
Nice hair!
@fumeres I have learnt and taken it upon myself to teach my peers... Don't worry, a Melvins revolution is well on its way.
@classicalmurray
Dale is getting old, so his bones are getting weaker.
He has said this himself. So, they need another drummer to keep the low end powerful
Sideshow Bob, Is that you?
Nice to see how un-engaged the crowd are in front of one of the most Awesome Bands Ever: obviously Over-whelmed!
Every band has dealt with that.
Cus only your way to show respect is the right way...
@classicalmurray because it sounds so fucking good.
@classicalmurray I don't understand you ... could you kindly refer to me in englisch?
@Disburden haha, agreed
não sabia que o sideshow bob tinha uma banda.
haha. nothing wrong with that either.....just don't get mad at those of us who are just chilling and soaking in the show :)
@classicalmurray just to make it more awesome
@soggywallet that's what i mean, cheers.
@classicalmurray Cause there the Melvins.
1:16
Hobo Thom Yorke is not amused.
rubinsbleed he is later on though
Right? Dude was unimpressed.
@m3LvIniSt PERIOD :)
@classicalmurray
collaboration.
@classicalmurray They don't play the exact same thing though...
If these guys were really cool they would recreate the "Muppet Show" Buddy Rich "Animal" drum battle!!!! Live on stage!!
I bet you didn't even notice sideshow Bob playing guitar.
@RolodexEnigma
I just cannot stand stupidity, and ClassicalMurray's comment was exactly that.
i didn't know zach galifianakis played bass in the melvins
Buzz looks a little like the villain from the movie Mad Max.
the crowd looks so bored lol. Come on this is sick!
1:16
Probably intentional. Their cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit is hilarious.
double the thump....chump
1:16 poker face
Crowd must be deaf...
Can't they hear that!
KARP
Gave it sum hate, just because 8)
@classicalmurray King Buzzo please forgive this dumb
For a moment there it sounded like they had two drummers. Must've been a woman.
