Interesting points, I'd never thought about the whole, getting sucked into a 2-hour marathon date when you already know it's a "no", do you think you would have been receptive to meeting someone for five minutes in the course of your normal day-to-day to see if you actually were interested in the person enough to go on a proper date with them?
Women do that, 95% of men CANT do that. Can women start being honest about this? Most men I know, and they have had the apps on and off for years, havent even got 15 matches in that entire time frame, let alone 15 dates in one year. I mean come on...

i would say that girls (at least the ones you would actually want to date) get really impressed with kindness. be respectful and nice, ask her questions about her life and personality as long as you're not invasive. this is important because even though women are known as blabbers, we actually deal with a lot of men who only talk about themselves on first dates, and let me tell you this is one of the most off-putting things. throw a light joke here and there until you get to know her and find out what humor she's comfortable with (some girls are unhinged and so funny and chaotic, others are more sensitive, have a hard time figuring out what's a joke and what isn't and might get easily insulted). ususally if the girl is kind herself she would appreciate it if you acted this way with her, and if she isn't you don't really want to have anything to do with her anyway. i love my girls but some of them aren't very mature and can be rude or superficial. (also proper grammar and spelling go a long way lol)
