Yes, Dominica is a beautiful and serene place. Rivers, local fruits and vegetables, warm sulfur spas.... it is a wellness space and more :) So happy to have you here. Thx
I'm so looking forward to the harvesting part too :) Getting up and stepping out to grow something is a beautiful thing about Dominica. I see how you'd miss it. Thank you so much again Natural living Yayan.
Definitely heliconias - my bad. Thank you! On a quest to learn the names of more flowers, plants and birds. Thank you for viewing and commenting. Hope the wind sound was not too much of a bother. Loved the gusts of wind but phewww makes editing a task.
I hope I’m not being disrespectful but I am very interested in your culture . I have read that the original people were Arawak but then I read they were Carib and also they’re were a very large number of Morroon I like the way you live so naturally I hope you can explain more to me thanks 🙏 bless up
Bless up! You are correct and thanks for asking. The indigenous people are the Arawaks and Kalinago (no longer referred to as Caribs). The greater part of the population are descendants of Africa however a portion of the island's land is reserved for the Kalinago (the arawaks are no more). It is a series of Kalinago villages where much of the culture and way of life has been preserved (Basket weaving, fishing, canoe building, cassava producing etc.). The island's culture as a whole is a beautiful mixture of the Indigenous, African and European. In my view, the island of Dominica was naturally curated for natural living. Feel free to ask if you have questions and thank you for your beautiful comment.

Awesome, thank you!!!! I am so grateful. Still learning and enjoying in the process
Now I'm envious 'cause I can hardly grow plants hahaha!
Those are easy. Plant - check for excess weeds every now and then... that's about it especially if you have fertile soil
are those ginger lillies or heliconias in the river? very very beautiful!!
