since i spot bias for Jiwoo...i'd just like to suggest a show Jiwoo just did recently, called Double Trouble. it's a show where 5 male idols and 5 female idols of different debut years/seniority levels all gathered to form male-female duet partners performing kpop covers with their own rearrangements/interpretations...the show had little drama and lots of high quality performances from the contestants and just them having good times making music/stages together. the whole show isn't in youtube, but all the performances can be found in watcha youtube channel.
Kard is having a summer comeback between June and july. None of them date eachother. For highlights each of them, I recommend: - BM: Bomb Bomb -Jiwoo: Dumb Litty -jseph: GUNSHOT -Somin: red moon The girls also have a song called Enemy and the boys also have a song called Inferno. But the studio version is the final version, not the mv version. But I recommend both versiona
KARD is more successful abroad than in Korea (as far as I remember they are very popular in South America). The situation is similar to Dreamcatcher, they are known by people in the industry (other artists), but they don't have much attention from the GP, and the opposite is for example Mamamoo, who have HUGE GP attention, but less abroad. p.s. co-ed groups are not common in Korea because industry works in such a way that if there is some man/woman next to your favorite idol, then crazy stans became veeery toxic. I hope this will change over time, the new generation seems to be less conservative. Because Trouble Maker and Triple H were some of the best co-ed groups, even though they didn't last long. (and there were quite a few scandals around them)
About Troublemaker and Triple H they did won some music show of it in the past and also don't forget SSAK3 which is actually a supergroup but technically seems as Co-ed group too formed on the MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo. The industry only cares about popularity nowadays and less for the music. Why does all the most bigger labels like SM, JYP, YG getting more attention which is actually not fair anymore. KARD can change that i am sure of that even they don't have a solid fanbase in Korea itself i still believe them someday they can win a Music Show for sure. If Dreamcatcher can achieve it so as KARD even they both different groups there is a way that they should do a comeback at the moment when the bigger groups don't have a comeback at that moment to make KARD more chance to be nominated for the first time in the History of the Discography.
Yeah BM posted a Tiktok with J.Seph a few days ago saying he's back and something along the lines of "CB D-😏" So comeback is happening. I love their sound and I've had them in my playlists for years, but I've never actively followed them before. I'd been following BM through the Dive Studios podcast stuff without connecting the dots for an embarrassing amount of time, and sort of ended up waiting for a comeback without realising. 😅
Most companies seem to be really careful when it comes to dating scandals or just rumours regarding the topic It got better over the years but it’s still something who can hurt an image of a group or idol Most idols friendships are with someone the same gender as well or at least the ones they want the public to know Being involved in romours just because of meeting with a friend..can imagine being in one group would make it even worse 🤦 I know it’s a stupid reason but sadly it’s how this industry works und some fans.. Besides this reasons they spent most of their time together and even live together..it might get more messy when it’s a mixed group 🤔 So debuting an mixed group isn’t exactly the most common but you are right musicwise it’s really great 👍 I can only think of one more and that’s Akmu 😅 And Kard’s music is really great i’m sure you would enjoy the other title tracks as well 😊
