    I took mine (same model as yours) to Jack's Small Engines to have the blades sharpened or replaced. Was told that a "proprietary tool" was needed to get to the blades. Have you sharpened your blades yet? And did you discover this to be an issue? None of the other local small engine repair places will even accept it, not even Ace Hardware, where I bought the thing years ago. Ace said they just sell 'em, they don't work on 'em. (Lesson learned: Do not shred leaves that have been raked from driveways, as the small pebbles do a terrible number on the blades.)

    Hey, thinking about buying one but curious if the big red feeding shoot can come off so that we have a chance of transporting it with our car? Specifically asking about the big piece that sticks straight up about chest high. does it disconnect easy enough?

    I saw someone use an HVAC boot and dust collection system hose with one of these. In my view it sounds like a good way to load a wheelbarrow with wood chips and shredded leaves. Main thing I find interesting is that this is similar to the one on the Flex system.

      They used to make a bag that would attach to the chute on the chipper to collect all of the chips coming out. Not sure if that's still available or not.

      I think I saw it on either MTD'S website or Troy-Bilt's.

    How you like this thing after this long?

      Still works well! The engine is starting to smoke a little more so we started running a heavier oil in it during the warmer months. But it's still getting the job done.

    Don’t buy this thing;
    It’s so hard to use it..
    All branches have to be straight otherwise they get stuck
