lived in bridgend all my life..i remember standing on the corner watching the town hall getting knocked down....bridgend is a ghost town now..there is nothing worth seeing there, not many shop's like we had many years ago, no market etc, it's lost all its history and character..in short it's a shithole now...shame really, i use to love the old town.
Same here.I used to love shopping in the town back in the seventies(I'm showing my age now)but not any more.It seems to be a haven for chavs and druggies now.I think all the pedestrianisation and out of town stores sounded the death knell a few years back. They also pulled down most of the buildings of any character and historical value as you pointed out.It is a real shame.

I am actually just about to move to Bridgend. It is getting bigger, but the town centre really does need to be revamped to bring people in. The mcarthurglen outlet retail park on the M4 has not helped over the last few years.
bridgend is a shell of its formr self
Bridgend has lost all it character. Now it’s soulless and empty, a local greedy family is largely to blame.
Are you able to say which family?

I would rather move to Norilsk than Bridgend. The only thing Bridgend is missing is a dozen of Putin's Thermobaric missiles.
@@daeshbagcentral5298 It's a step up from where I am leaving so I will take it with open arms.
It used to be a lovely town when I was growing up, really sad to see what a horrible run down s{{t hole it has become.
Shit hole now compered to those lovely years
