THANKS (8 yrs later lol)!!! I've been trying to get HS2 to work on W10 for a little over a year now and decided to try a fix again today and this is the only fix that worked for me!!! I can finally open my old projects now
Theoretically yes, for any VST that uses the windows registry to determine the location of the stored content, however, this issue only occurs because the VST installer would not function the way it is supposed to. So really to run into this kind of issue is kind of rare and for most other VST's.
Had some problems with Hypersonic 1 ... I just added "Hypersonic" to Software/Steinberg and entered the new string value "Content Location" with the directory where it was located. Worked like a charm. Thanks, iszazial! :-)

HEY DUDE! I couldn't find steinberg in Wow6432... Then I tried that: right click to "set location app" and run as administrator! It works... But I thank you also, you explained another solution...
If you cant find the steinberg folder try this: Right click on "set hs2 content location.exe" in your content folder and click on "run as administrator

It works but when i want to replace the plugin or close it my DAW crash! even if I want to save a project using Hypersonic it crash. any solution to this??? This problem it already happened before solve the window pop up by the way

The reason I had to make it this way is because even though I paid for my copy there are alot of people that have not, that reasoning leads to the issue that there are several different versions of hypersonic available atm and this is the only solution that should fix all.

This is in fact the reason why the problem is occuring. If you pause the video at just the right moment you cant actually create paths and strings you see in the video. It may actually just be easier to uninstall and reinstall the program and double check as outlined in this video
Hey, you helped me with this a while ago, and I recently restored my computer to it's orignal state....so I put everything on an external hard drive, and when I went to put hypersonic back on and set its content location using reg edit...I couldnt find any folders in regedit that had hypersonic in it...there was no hypersonic in any of the mentioned folders. I don't know how to get it to show up.. I had it under downlaods, then I installed it, and moved the folder over to programsx86 help please
Try this... Open flstudio and then open a new template with nothing in it but a "sampler". After that close FL to save the default template upon loading FL studio then reopen it. Now try opening hypersonic and switching to bridging mode then save the preset of hypersonic like i show in the previous video. from there when you want to use hypersonic just add hypersonic from the sample selection list where the saved templates are.
The fastest way to solve the issue is to uninstall the vst, install the non dongle version of hypersonic, and use the set content location executable. both dongle and non dongle versions have this however only the non dongle version will operate correctly once installed fresh.
It will work for a hell of a lot of VST's however there are some compatibility issues with others with bridging. There is a third party program however that can convert the VST's into a working x86 shell however the program is paid unfortunately.

When you cannot find Hypersonic 2 folder in Registry, just make it. Right click on Steinberg folder->New->Key. Name it Hypersonic 2 and there you have it. Right click on empty space in the right (while on Hypersonic 2 folder) New->String Value. Name it Content Location and from here I think you can handle it.
i found out that if u run the app, that direct the hypersonic to its content, as an administrator it works and you dont have to do all that i actually found the folder there is 2 node folders the second contains the content i was looking for when i found it the content was already there
if you could expand on the licence problem I maybe able to help you. The most common problem with licencing is that paid users can not use their dongle because it is a driver and is not compatible with x64 windows due to this. Since I paid for the program I solved the program by downloading the non dongle cracked version that fixes the issue. If this is the case just google it and you should easily find a working torrent. I think it was by H20, also I just got the program itself with no sounds.

Is this only for 64 bit versions of Windows? Would I single backslash for 32-bit?

there was an error sending the settings to the vst plugin "Hypersonic". The settings have not been loaded. help pls!
Allthough the 3rd string in regedit didn't exist on my laptop - I just used the find feature to lead me to hyper -all is working - many thanks!
