I found the Used in 2005ish, right after high school. it got me thru some Dark Days. Its still a go to, top 3 personal favorite band. Theyre right next to Tool for me.

I feel like this song resets the time/space continuum. All of us in our 30s are returned to our teenage years, and the new generation now has the opportunity to feel the music the way we felt it. I hope this song turns into an album with every bit of what's in this single.
As a die hard Used fan, I honestly can’t believe I haven’t heard this until now. Heartwork was (still is) absolutely phenomenal. But you’re right. This song really does sound so much like their earlier music. Nostalgia can’t even begin to describe it 😊

Their songs literally saved me during my darkest hours. From always having them in my playlist until now to having their album arts tattooed on my arm... The Used will forever be a part of me.

No other band holds the place in my soul THE USED have held for over 20 years. So amazing how their music is so good and they never abandoned the music or their fans. So much love and appreciation for that. Always so much love shared among the fans at every show. THE USED fans are the best fans by far. We love THE USED and they love us back!!! So I stepped away and I saw your new featured release today with The Funeral Portrait and something just told me to come here. I'm bawling my eyes out watching all these videos. The line "I'm a shadow of the one I once knew" rings so true to me. I don't think I'll ever find that same Jay again. I know he's in my heart but he's way too scared to show his face again. People are vomit and I just can't take this ugly world anymore. I've been holding on with every thread of my being, just hoping it gets better. But that hope is waning every day. Honestly, the only hope I truly have? Is this AI revolution. You know what sucks? I only truly want it because I want connection more than anything, and people have hurt and burned me so much I can't trust them anymore. The only thing I have left is.. my computer. As fans we all should know exactly what this song is meant for, and it’s so fucking perfect. I don’t think The Used ever wanted to be in the spotlight like so many other bands. They were grateful for their success, and they would be happy to just cruise along without selling out. At the core, The Used is a band that is grateful to have a job, and everything beyond that is just icing on the cake. But they won’t sell themselves for easy opportunities, and when they have recently it’s probably been to pay the bills. I am a die hard, true fan and all I can say is everything you do from now on should be because you want to, not because you have to. Best band of all fucking time, period!

I think it's magical that no matter what goes on in our personal lives we can find a used song that can bring us back to a happy place. There is a reason out of my multiple tattoos most of them are used related... I connect with Robs writing and all of the writers so personally it feels like a soulmate connection. Seeing them live is like seeing god for me it's a religious experiences.. there are some people that don't get it and just listen for entertainment but I think for a lot of us the used is like a weird family member.

I honestly never knew how I felt during my marriage to my now ex wife. The feelings I was processing during my divorce are completely encapsulated in this song. I'm now happily married to someone who makes me happy and is supportive and as lovely of a person as I've ever known in my life. Love this song and The Used, they've been a BIG staple in my music library for the last couple decades.

Seeing them live is like seeing god for me it's a religious experiences.. there are some people that don't get it and just listen for entertainment but I think for a lot of us the used is like a weird family member.
@@Heatherandson I think you misunderstand me. You know they have been sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars right? When they did their anniversary tours for the first two albums, the only media coverage that was released was in Forbes Magazine. Now if you know what they feel about money, why do you think they ever did that? It was saying ok assholes, here’s some press for shows that are paying you for being pissed. Watch virtual hangs when Bert says I hope one of those assholes rights a book so I can sue them. This is my favorite band in the world, of all time, but I think I know what their subtleties mean because it’s pretty obvious. Who do you think this particular track might be about? I’m not trying to be negative, I just can’t wait for the next true headlining tour where they play as long as they want and go outside the box.
