What is scalping?
Scalping is a trading strategy designed to profit from small price changes, with profits on these trades taken quickly and once a trade has become profitable. All forms of trading require discipline, but because the number of trades is so large, and the gains from each individual trade so small, a scalper must have a rigid adherence to their trading system, avoiding one large loss that could wipe out dozens of successful trades.
Scalpers will take many small profits, and not run any winners, in order to seize gains as and when they appear. The aim is for a successful trading strategy through the large number of winners, rather than a few successful trades with large winning sizes.
Scalping relies on the idea of lower exposure risk, since the actual time in the market on each trade is quite small, lessening the risk of an adverse event causing a big move. In addition, it takes the view that smaller moves are easier to get than larger ones, and that smaller moves are more frequent than larger ones.

i have a question . pause the video on 2:23 . there is a trade in profit, but if you look close there is another smily just before the profit trade, why that entry ignore ? is there any rules that I missed ?

i have a question, when using this method how do you calculate your lot size and still enter when the candle closes?
If you trade London session, do you use the previous day's NewYork open price? The way I see it, thats the only way it makes sense since London opens before New York. Could you please clarify for me?

Thanks, Arty! This is great! Just curious, why don't you use a trailing stop loss? I backtested it from 03/01/24 to 04/19/24 during the NY session only, which is what I trade, taking the first trade only AFTER 10:30 EST so that the market is less erratic, and with a trailing stop loss I had a 37% gain. Without the trailing stop loss I had a 19% gain. Win rate of 57.7%. Thanks a ton!

Am I right in saying though that the Happy Trail signal doesn't print until after the Happy Trail candle it printed. So essentially 5 minutes after?
It prints when the candle closes
I love your Videos Arty. This one just saved/convinced me that I'm not a Day Trader, nor do I have the time. My head hurts! However, I love the FOREX market and know I'm better suited for Swing Trading. 1-2 trades monthly, yea that's me! I'll search all your Videos, especially those on swing trading, for tips. Give me Support/Resistance levels, the ones that are on the Weekly charts ;)

Great info! Can't wait to test it out. Although I am a little confused the about the 3rd rule - "during/after London session". Can you please explain this in further detail? I'm in the US in EST and the NY session begins at 9:30am (to my knowledge). However the NY opening price line in your video seems to be drawn at a different area on the chart. Do I need to keep an eye out on the charts all day to wait for a smiley face to form? Because if you just set an alert for the smiley face forming by the time you start the trade it’s already made it’s move
