Impressed by your knowledge sir. Pls keep sharing more performances tuning tricks. Please share more videos on how to understand the query plans and work on it
Thank you so much ! Pinal. Learning from you the precious knowledge and skills. Please could you recommend your SQL book for the advanced and pro skills.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority Many thanks for your response .. i am very happy to receive your response :)..i am your big fan the way you explain.. this was my first post..
Just one request.. Could you please post a video that explains the entire execution plan?? Or if you already have a blog post on this could u pls share a link?
I will use to create cover index and as they are not in key columns, they are not searchable. Also you can include certain datatypes in key column but in included columns you can have more. I will be creating live video on this topic next time.

Will includes columns will cause additional overhead in any way, Especially while inserting and updating?
Yes minor overhead.
Pinal how much market demand is there for this new technology?
Every technology has its demand.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority I am learning .Ur advice ?
Hi Pinal, what is the best practice to alter column of a table if table size is 2 TB? Regards, Arun
This is indeed going to take time so there is no quick solution. You just have to find a time when there is not much activity for faster response.

The entire execution plan is an extremely long subject. Many days long. I will do my best to come up with a small series.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority That would be of great help.. Thank you in advance 🙏
Awesome🎉🎉
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks sir 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
So nice of you
is there any way to improve query performance when using order by , sort cost in execution plan always shows the highest percentage
A good index can help there.
Lots of valuables insights, besides the main focus of the video
Thanks for the kind words.
Excellent.
Glad that you liked it.
many thanks Pinal.

Thank you a lot !! Pinal

Why you used "Included columns" instead of "Index Key Columns"? And what is the difference between them?
I will use to create cover index and as they are not in key columns, they are not searchable. Also you can include certain datatypes in key column but in included columns you can have more. I will be creating live video on this topic next time.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority Thanks a lot for the fast reply. Is there a recommended max number of columns to use in the "included columns"?
@@ivanb000 Honestly it is all based on a schema. Not one number we can agree upon.
Great tips Sir! Can we use this tip to improve query performance wherein multiple table joins are used? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
This is a great topic. I will blog about it soon.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority Thanks for your reply. Will look forward to this blog post! :)
Please make a Video on Sql Profiler and table partitioning.
Sure both are interesting subjects.
@@PinalDaveSQLAuthority Thanks Pinal..))
