As I’ve gotten older I’ve had to toughen up because a lot of people have taken my sensitivity for weakness and tried to take advantage of me. That also goes into what you said about demanding respect rather than earning it . I feel like respect is due to a dog. Now if you’re referring to power or recognition I would never want anything that I didn’t earn fair and square . But I realize these are also just very general statements.
