Great review…I stopped looking for Wah’s when I got a Clyde… it can’t be beat. Had one of the Slash wah’s before this and felt the same exact way you did with the JC wah… the sweep was far too “narrow”…from wide open to closed was a very short travel… no middle ground.
@@DanLeggatt Same here (although I don't have the video lights) I'm a full time carer and the lady I care for is moving soon so I'm hoping to get a bigger cooler room where I can spread out a bit.
Great comparison. Both great pedals. I have a 2009 Clyde Deluxe and still haven't found Anything better. Check out the Teese RMC 10, MXR/CAE 404 or Xotic Wah ( 3 other great wah's )
Thanks man 👍 My buddy has the Xotic and it’s really killer! I owned a CAE for a while but I preferred the Clyde. I’ll have to keep an eye out for a Teese.
I’ll see if I can borrow the Xotic at a later date to do a video. I know it’s a pretty core part of his rig but I imagine I could borrow it for a few days at some point if he’s not gigging 👍

I’ve got a Clyde Deluxe and I love it, but it’s playing up and I want to repair it. Problem is Fulltone have closed down and nobody can find the fault!
It uses very little current. I'm not sure exactly but definitely under 100ma. You could easily run it with a lot more if that's what you're worried about. A pedal can't be overloaded with too many ma.
Hi Dan, appreciate the video. Just asking you if you've tried the recent fulltone supa wah? I'm hoping it's basically the same with a couple more options as I've ordered one.. Not many were sold before the ridiculous incident and now he's back so it's hard to get any info on them. Hope you had a good Easter mate, cheers.
Good question! I didn’t think to look before returning it but just found a pic online. It’s pcb, very similar to the stock GCB95. So it would be easy to repair or mod 👍
I had the Clyde deluxe and really loved it. I’ve got the Dunlop 535Q which is pretty decent too, but if I’m honest I think it’s hard to beat just an original, bog standard Dunlop wah, especially for rock. I tend not to use mine for the rock your foot in time with the music thing, but more like an expression pedal for tone.

I haven’t sadly. It was of interest to me as my Clyde, which is my main touring wah, is getting a bit worn out now.
Does the JC95 have an SMD or PCB board? I mean, in case something breaks inside to do a quick repair. great review

PCB board, it’s a just a modified regular crybaby. You can search Jerry Cantrell crybaby mod online.
How do you compare those to MXR CAE Wah?
I personally prefer either of these over the CAE. More vocal and just more musical for my use. I only had the CAE for a few months.

JC95 Cry Baby for me is the best
The Fulltone sounded classy and all, but the Dunlop sounded more 'authentic' and characterful. More expression with the Dunlop, I thought.
