Always a very welcome arrival. Thank you for your expeditionary sharing - great narration, great video, always with a sense of connection and intimacy with the environments visited.
If I lived close to that place as a kid, I would know it like the back of my hand. I love places like this. Thanks for the video. It had to of taken a lot of effort placing the cameras and everything.
Met you at Heron Pond a few months back, I enjoyed this video, keep up the good work. You know I think I can still feel my bruised ribs from the spill I took trying to get down from up on top of Swallow Rock, probably just a flashback from watching…OUCH
It was great talking to you that day. Pointing out those cottonmouths was a highlight of the day! Thank you and I almost went up the side canyon to get to Swallow Rock, but passed because of time constraints. That’s a scary story and glad you weren’t hurt so bad not to make it out 👍
Absolutely, going with someone is always preferred. When I do go by myself, I take my Garmin InReach for emergency situations and do inform others of where I’m at. What you can’t see in the video is my “baby steps” through sketchy areas. With saying all that, Yes there is an extra risk I take when going to these places. Thanks for commenting and watching 👍
anyone who has ever been to the Grand Canyon can see these places just want to feed off the name. too bad since they can be great places on their own until you are disappointed due to the hype.

I think Amarillo beat you to your title. Maybe, very small and unimpressive canyon in Illinois.
