Iron Maiden is my favorite band of all time, but Virgin Steele is starting to challenge that. They are more epic, progressive, complex, and symphonic but they are never too complex to the point where it's too confusing to me or not too symphonic that they are too cheesy. This is epic U.S. Power Metal at it's finest.
Maiden became repetetive and seems to run out of steam in the last 4 albums. Steve Harris should let others write for change. Virgin Steel stays fresh and creative at all times.
@@220volt74 Not exactly, each maiden record including the newer ones has their own distinct sound and theme and they are still great records except for final frontier. And virgin steele does have nocturnes of hellfire and damnation which is generic and ruined by bad production and autotune. But Virgin Steele still blows maiden out of the water and defeis is probably the best songwriter Metal has ever seen
@@metaloverkill6217 That was just my observation with Maiden. The songs and albums are too long with lots of fillers. Repetitive cheesy choruses that goes on and on. I mean, albums are not bad, but man, Steve Harris loves his repetitive lines lately. It just seems he ran out of ideas. It happens to the best of them. I get ear fatigue listening new Maiden. There are enough good songs on the last 4 albums to make a one really great album.
Adriano Serafini bro. I feel old too, but in this song lies an escape for a few minutes while we listen to it! Stay strong bro, metal lives in our hearts
Yes, XOAN, you are 666% right. This is a thrilling masterpiece! Hymnic, epic, mystique & heavy with several turns which all fit together best. I love the hymnic end section....
Is anyone here even okay at transcribing music? I would love to have a full transcription of this song and I’ve done alright so far but having someone else helping or checking would be great
This is all that's wrong with today's music. It's all growls and shouting, zero effort and skill involved. I Feel bad that people like angelo and aggelod listen to this stuff.
Ehm...what? Im pretty sure Edward Pursino(the guitarist) can easily be classified as approaching a virtuoso. I mean there is plenty of melody in this track. You just can't hear it because you are turned of by the textures. Also "today's music"? This is 80's styled power metal! How is that "today's music"?

@@220volt74 You are right about maiden repeating choruses. Thats something virgin steele almost never does
Virgin Steele is better than Iron Maiden for me. The best Metal band of all time, easily.

There are plenty of songs nowadays that perfectly fit that description, why pick this one?
