- Today I’m at Six Flags for a NEW Fright Fest construction update. An all new tent has popped up and I’m wondering if it will be used for an all new maze. Let’s take a lap around the park to check on the latest from Six Flags Magic Mountain!

All of those closed rides in what should be peak season for SFMM is absolutely brutal
I feel like for some reason it could be an employee issue some left and they aren’t hiring as fast as they should be which is absurd for summer season; aside from Goliath with its refurbishment
Both staffing & supply-line issues (mechanical parts sourced from Asia, etc) are putting an armlock on various businesses. I'd assume SFMM may be one of them. And compared with a location further south, Valencia's smaller population probably isn't too lucrative for entry-level job recruitment.
Valencia must also affect MM's potential base of customers. MM's attendance has historically hovered around 2.5 million & peaked in 2019 at 3.6. Improving any theme park is tougher when dealing with under 2 to 3 million customers versus something closer to Knott's 3.5 to 4 million. But even that's below what's needed to pull off the new investment by Universal Studios in Orlando. As for their park in Japan, it has reached over 12 million visitors. That puts the customer volume of MM (or Universal's LA park of 5 to 9 million visitors) into perspective.
Regardless, MM sure could use more shade. Some of its walkways are wider than they should be & need more trees around & inserted into planters in the middle of them. But that costs money, & so do new rides or seasonal events like Fright Fest. So options are limited.
I was in SoCal 3 weeks ago on vacation and was tracking the closures on the app before our planned date to go...due to all the closures we passed and spent a second day at USH instead
I love how this channel covers all the theme parks
Last time i did fright fest was in 2016 and thinking of going this year but only rides i would want to go on would be goliath, ninja, apocalypse and viper so hopefully the closed one open back up before I go
Already have most of our Halloween line up set...with the big ones all in September this year...HHN employee preview night , then Fright Fest on September 22, then Knotts on 24th...then 28th doing Tricks and Treats at CA Great America and on the 29th Winchester Mystery House! Gives more time in October to do other smaller events and independent haunts...
9:57 Is basically the spot of the climax of National Lampoon's Vacation.
You got it.
Excited…and hoping they don’t neglect the main thing people visit SF for….rollercoasters
We need a new water ride! That’s what I want.
Oh the coasters will always be the focus.
@@stephenn77As great as Full Throttle is, they should've never got rid of Log Jammer. Log Jammer and Roaring Rapids soaked the guests a whole lot more than JetStream did 🏄
I am actually coming on Friday to six flags to ride some coasters
Great video Dylan, Six Flags Fright Feast looks awesome this year. I love The Conjuring movie that's cool that it's going to be at Six Flags.
Excited for you to see our work Dylan!
Can’t wait!!!
Alright quit messing around Dylan! I need to know where you got that pumpkin shirt! MUST… HAVE… PUMPKIN… SHIRT!!!
Nice fright fest update! It's your busy time of the year, how exciting!
Oh yeah there are going to be a ton of new videos 😁
Fright fest Merch can be found next to the gold rusher store next to the restrooms
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and I manet go to Disney land with Michael and his mom
If Warner Brothers could bring the Halloween event they used to do a few years back at six flags, THAT would be very cool
Love this channel
That's crazy, I was in the park on Tuesday, and that tent wasn't up. And yes, I did ask the SFMM staff at Midsummer, and they said The Conjuring will be where the Tatsu games are, and Saw would be in the Tidal Wave area. I assumed it would be in that Warehouse there (it's been used for a maze before) and the asphalt would be a queue, but maybe the maze itself will go there? Also, I saw some FF merch in the Studio 6 store by Goldrusher
Next time I’m at the park I’ll have to check that other gift shop for some stuff. Super excited we have some new mazes this year.
Fright Fest doesn’t have the budget to compete with Horror Nights or Scary Farm, BUT it is nice to see they’re making some effort into stepping up their event. Very curious as to how they’ll pull off The Conjuring & Saw.
Maybe this year they are going to step up a lot of things which will be great. They have to in order to compete.
I know you have a lot on your plate for Halloween this year, however, I hope you and Michael will be able to go back and cover Fright Fest when they open.
I’m going to try my best. Should be at Fright Fest and a few other haunts this year. 😁
We got a season pass for Hurricane Harbor. Did two vlogs. I'm debating if I want to upgrade our pass. I think we will wait. We are going to Disneyland the week of Veterans Day.
I have the old Diamond membership so I’m on all the old benefits. In general having a good pass is worth it if you go a lot.
im glad Six Flags is stepping up and using movie studio franchises now, halloween time is my favorite time as well and can't wait to visit all theme parks during september and october 😎
I can’t wait to see how they do these new mazes. They could have a gold mine on their hands.
I’m pretty sure one of the new mazes is gonna be in the gear works theater. They have used that location for mazes in the past.
That would actually be a good spot if they are not using it for a show.
8:05 the fright fest thing on the door in the employee break area is just a sign for employees who want to audition to be a fright fest scare actor.
Interesting. Because they were moving lumber around in there so I’ll keep an eye on it.
Gremlins is part of Warner Bros too
I know you aren’t there as often as other park but I literally work there and never see you 😭😭😭
Well hey hopefully soon you’ll see me 😁
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD what will you be wearing? that would be helpful
Are they repainting Goliath?? Also, when is the giga going in? ;)
I am really happy there are more shaded tables in DC Universe! We just need some tree rings in that area. Maybe the arcade area will be a ghost town type of haunted house… We’ll see!
A giga coaster would be amazing! Maybe sometime in the future.
And yeah I have noticed that they have been adding more shade in the park which is great.
Ain't no way a giga going in...Six Flags don't have that kind of money. Take this situation as believe it when you see it.
I’m so excited for conjuring and saw I think I will be attending the event every Sunday because of it
I hope they are amazing because if so, then this could be a big moment for Six Flags.
Boom goes the dynamite
Always! Hope you enjoyed the is one.
Work at six flags magic mountain fun place to work
That’s good to hear!
