Zuffa should give them all health insurance. All that money is not enough. They all have to share the amount. They probably get $2,500 at the end of the day. Never enough after making them wait this long. Like Dana says this ain’t Microsoft. This is an opportunity. Now far Mr Clean needs to pay up. I hope the Saudis fire him over this
1/3 is usually standard for civil suits. Let me ask you a question taking 8 years of your time for schooling and passing one of the hardest exams in the world in the bar exam you still don’t think a lawyer deserves 1/3 ?
Previous fighters getting money is good But the whole point of this suit was to revelutionise contracts in MMA. Just like what the Ali Act did for boxing. And in that front, this suit has failed. The UFC will not change their contracts and will continue to have a somewhat monopoly of the MMA industry Happy for the fighters, but sad about the overall outcome
Well the $40 million increase in the Le v. Zuffa wasn't the major part. The fact that judge Boulware seperated the Le v. Zuffa and the Johnson vs. Zuffa cases and wouldn't allow the $375 million cover both cases is the biggest deal. Now this money will only cover Le v. Zuffa and the other lawsuit is allowed to continue so who knows what that will yield.
It sounds like a lot of money, but people need to remember how many fighters are involved inthe lawsuit. Frankly, it's nowhere near enough. Only a Fighter's Union will put a stop to Dana and the UFC's corruption and exploitation
I wanna know who is getting 150 million of that money. And for what. There’s no way fees come out to half of that money. That’s insane. No way that’s fees and other miscellaneous expenses come out to 150 million.
so what does that mean the UFC increase the fighters pay or do they wait another 10 years and take their chances with the next court case hoping they get a favourable outcome they are just shifty when it comes to their business deals and dont care about the fighters
Funny how this guy pretends like this 15k everyone is getting is and END to EVERYONES problems.. Bro I can make more then most these guys get from this lawsuit just working at McDonalds for 6 months.. Maybe they should of got a good lawyer to write an exaggerated letter for drug money like Shane Carwin...
It just goes to show you fighters have always been stupid and self-serving. What a rediculous joke of a settlement. They all took a pitance and screwed over all active fighters.
Good work on Ariel to promote this story. Forget kissing general Dana's butt. Ariel's being a real journalist.
100%
more like ariel the hater who will do anything to bash dana and the ufc after they got him sh*tcanned
Lol, 16 hours and 5,700 clicks on a channel w 196k subs. Dana won’t notice.

He said fighters get $15k for every fight they had in the UFC 6:43
Thought that was Mike Brown in the thumbnail
The coverage we need thank you Ariel.
Tom Lawlor is an og. Can't believe what a good job he did in that interview.
Great interview Ariel ! ... and a great guest . Hope you have Tom on again as the next chapter of this story unfolds...
7:41 500 fighters getting over 100K is something
Dats wassup
31% in lawyers fees is absolutely despicable

@ryssypepwork2935 just because you train for 8 years doesn't mean you deserve over 100M for a case, yeah they a good chunk but over 100M is ludicrous
I feel like it comes down to how many lawyers worked on the case. If it’s 100 it’s totally fair. If it’s 5 of them it’s ludicrous lol
Without the lawyers none of this would have happened, 33% is standard whether it's $5000 or 5 million

This was actually really informative. Hope this can really improve the lives for all the fighters.
Special shoutout to Team Filthy 🤟🏾
Ariel's favourite topic - How much money are you getting.
Props to Filthy for explaining things so clearly.
Short answer: Retired fighters can’t benefit from improved business practices, so they’re taking settlement money at the expense of current fighters.
@@Thunderfist_McBeefcake to be fair: the current fighters haven't and aren't supporting them 💯
@@WHITELIONNYCthey’re contractually not allowed to
@@LucaLampini great, that means the actual fighters of the case don't have any burden to fight for contract changes. Take the 💰👍🏻

New MMA fans, check out this guys walk out at weigh ins. You’d be surprised lol
usually these trust settlements parse out the money slowly. more appeals to come? fighters might now see real money for another 5 years
Filthy Tom and Seth used to crack me up with their antics. He was worth a mill back then. Very underrated

When did he pretend that that was the case?
Drug money? What do you mean
Read a book
Or two.
The fighters deserve every penny and more taken from the greedy multi-billionaires that run the UFC

Are you implying that the guy speaking completely clearly is on drugs?
"I'm happy with the $150k. Also I've no skin in this game."
Not sure he knows what that saying means.
Of course you would report on this 💩
